Did you not get swarmed by purple enemies? Refusing to use the charge should result in them continuously increasing in numbers forever.

aha, I just checked out your commentary on twitch. Nice to hear the feedback.

I couldn't hear the game sound in the video, so I guess it makes sense that flashier visual cues to draw attention would be beneficial, rather than relying on the audible count from 1-10 I used to convey the message about charging. Also, yeah stars. Stars are pretty.

I was worried that people would be annoyed by lag spikes in browser when objects are first loaded. That's easily fixable, I just didn't get around to it just yet.  :P

Wow, this one really has everything! Atmosphere, writing, art, mechanics...

The only thing it really needs is a way to get out after I deliberately squished myself through the floor :P

Very very nice looking game. 

I keep missing the input to jump and I can't tell if it's a skill issue or it just doesn't register. Spamming jump is no good because it causes a double jump which throws me off :(

Thanks! I only had my own game-play to base difficulty on, so it might be hard for those not used to it :/ 

It's all about efficient movement and resource (gear) management.

Thanks! Throwing stuff at the chicken sounds like a really good idea. I might try adding that.

Also, the text is black just so you know that there are other ways of gaining score without completely giving them away :p
