over all amazing  game and feels really fun to play, main complaint is that i feels like the reward for charging my beam is not as fulfilling the 10 seconds feel to long and it's better to spam shoot, if you could charge for 1 second and get a smaller beam then charge for 5,8,2 any amount and get a beam that is proportional to the charge time, that would feel a bit better and more worth the time invested into charging the beam

I love the classic retro vibe going on here. Easy to understand and play. Maybe a little bit more creative way to incorporate the 10seconds would have been "chefs kiss"

I love the concept behind this game! I think the visuals are very unique and interesting, as it's technically a 2d face down game, yet the toolkit objects are 3d. The laser beam was a cool way to implement the theme, but I also wish it did more damage, or that it's damage was proportional to how charged it was. Overall very impressive given the time frame, and I hope you continue to share your progress on this game or others you work on!

Not sure exactly what it is, but I feel like there is a very cool feel between the 3D world of asteroids and 2D world of my spaceship. And the chargeup mechanic is very fun aswell, I wish though that it had a greater impact, so that I was more forced to use it and couldnt just rely on small charges to survive. Nevertheless, good job!

Thanks.

Did you not get swarmed by purple enemies? Refusing to use the charge should result in them continuously increasing in numbers forever.

I somewhat did get swarmed, but just spamming the shot was enough for me to survive.

Great and simple concept for the shoot em' up genre! Could't easily identify the 10 second theme, but overall great work, keep jammin!

aha, I just checked out your commentary on twitch. Nice to hear the feedback.

I couldn't hear the game sound in the video, so I guess it makes sense that flashier visual cues to draw attention would be beneficial, rather than relying on the audible count from 1-10 I used to convey the message about charging. Also, yeah stars. Stars are pretty.
