I like the blending of side scroller and top-down. Maybe it's just me being a scrub, but having only one life in the platforming section felt way too punishing. The chaotic world did feel more fun with its frantic gameplay.

Originally the camera was going to be isometric, but that didn't quite cooperate with the level design. Glad you enjoyed it overall, though.

Thanks! The life drain probably worked in testing because we knew its little quirks. Glad you liked the rest regardless.

Thanks for the tip, didn't think of that. Glad you liked it!

Nice bit of fun. Very difficult, movement gets tricky with a lot of the big fish around. Visuals were pretty, sound design a bit lacking.

Short and sweet. The level design was great, good puzzles. I had a problem when you had to shoot your cable through a wall - there wasn't a hole and visually it didn't make sense to just shoot through a wall. That being said it was a pleasant puzzle experience.

Kind of slow, but I suppose it makes sense - jewelers don't see a whole lot of action. On one hand it's cute but on the other it says that a bad ring results in a breakup. I liked the whole old-school Flash game appeal, it was somewhat nostalgic. The music was also nice.

Honestly nothing bad to say about this one. Everything was on point. I especially applaud the level design - it was challenging but never felt impossible. The visuals and music were simple, but it worked for what the game was going for.

Smooth controls, pretty and minimalist visuals, interesting use of haikus. I don't quite get the perspective mechanic, but the game itself is devoid of anything unpleasant I suppose. Very nice.

Respect for attempting a metroidvania, you clearly understand the genre and how level design should work. I liked the enemies, I would've liked seeing more of such Cronenberg decorations around the levels. The game works fine, my only problem being the fight with the flying giant fused carcass. Because you can't aim up you can barely hit the enemy and even if you climb the little steps it'll fly above you anyway. Very thoughtful of you to let the player keep upgrades on death.

Somewhat grotesque with the 'joined together' aspect being 'joined together in death' but I like that.
Other than that it was a fun experience. Cute visuals, smooth movement. The music sounds a bit Christmasy oddly.

Very cute, I love the little details - like the head wobble or how the pitch goes up the longer you get.

Glad you liked it! Yknow how it is with Jam games, optimization is rarely an option with the time limit.
