Yes, game is based on luck. I have a few ideas how to extend game adding some power ups but I did not have time implements them for Game Jam.

"Calm before the storm" is idiom. At the beginning when you trying guess a word it is quiet and peaceful. When you start losing chances it is less quiet and more difficulty.
