Just finished playing the demo, and I thought it was quite good. The art is great, that single goblin defeat CG is really well done. Do you have any plans on including audio in the game though? The game feels very off without it. Even just simple ambience like footsteps and battle sounds, etc. Do you also have plans for more erotic scenes besides defeat CGs?
I think this game has a really solid potential core, but it could desperately do with some basic tutorials. Even things like tooltips that explain the different stats would be great. A lot of the text is also quite difficult to read, particularly on the bestiary, and I think it's disappointing that a game-over takes you immediately to the game-over screen, not allowing you to see a defeat animation, as those are very good.
Looking forward to seeing more updates though, I liked what I've played of this so far!
Just wanted to say, I've been following this game for a bit now, and I'm a big fan! Think it's really neat, and am eager to play some of your other games. I have a list of notes from things I've noticed, a lot of which I think are issues that could be addressed in further updates.
- Loot that characters find while exploring will appear in the shelter before they return in the evening. Something I've noticed, and I'm unsure if it's intentional or not?
- I think it'd be great if the girls reacted to events relating to each other, or wrote about overall events happening at the shelter. For example, writing that their barricades were broken last night, or that one of them went missing, etc.
- I've noticed that some of the accompanying erotica text doesn't correspond with the images. For example, Scarlet has one CG where she's being fucked by green figures, but the text says they were raiders, not zombies.
- A few mechanical explanations would be nice. Things like explaining what washing up does, and the danger level of moon cycles based on their appearance. And with expeditions, a way to tell what items you've brought so far on them. A text name for each one would also be very helpful.
Just some thoughts! Looking forward to seeing more updates in the future :)
It would be nice to have more influence over the exploration. Being able to give the girls an item to take with, or a general area to focus on, or send them out in pairs for safety, etc.
Items you find on an expedition or exploration will appear in the cabin before that character returns. And on a humorous note, the stereo continues to play during the gameover screen.
Also more interactions between them based on their relationships would be interesting, such as negative ones being a potential outcome.
Oh and a possible Archive that keeps track of scenes you've read and done. The gallery is nice for being able to see the pictures, but being able to read their corresponding posts would be even better.
Enjoy the game a lot overall though :)
I'm considering donating to the devs patreon, but before I do, I wanna find out about the state of Roguelove. I've played the demo and I imagine it's out of date to the current state of the game but I wanna check how much.
In the demo I'm seemingly unable to lose, and the health and lust bars seem to have no effect on me. I take it the game at it's current state has those features?
