thanks for the feedback and taking the time to play my game. Glad you enjoyed

thanks for taking the time to play my game I appreciate the feedback. I was busy most of the week so I wasn’t able to get all the features I wanted it. I completely spaced the flipping the penguin which is my fault and l agree the game could use sound effects. Once again thanks for the feedback and playing my game.

It loads fine for me. Try refreshing and see if that helps. Let me know if continues to not work. Thanks.

Just released an update for my game that fixed some of the UI/text, camera(could still use some work, new enemy, better effects/some new art, and fixed the near impossible jump on prickly peak.

This game is amazing! This is by far one of my favorites from the jam. The art style is great, the controls and mechanics are really smooth, and the levels are just hard enough to take some time but not to much so you get frustrated. Overall great game and keep up the amazing work!

Really good game I really enjoyed the art style, music, and the gravity mechanic. I did think that it was pretty challenging but in a fun way. Overall really really solid game made in 3 days so great job!

I completely understand the frustration with the jumps I wish I was able to fix the camera so the levels wouldnt be leaps of fait. Also thanks for the tip on the menu this was my second ever jam and I was busy some of the days so I didnt get to polish as much as I would like. Thanks again for the feed back and I definitely had fun!

This is a good concept but could use some work to make the game more balanced. I found that you could just not do anything and you would win when you get to the end. I saw you comment saying it was a multiplayer game which would definitely make it a lot more fun. Overall good concept and good luck with future projects.

This game was a nice relaxing game with a very good concept. Some of the things I encountered were the bar and jump were out of sync which made it difficult but I saw that you said you were newer to game dev so its not a big deal. Overall good game and good luck with future projects!

This is a really great game that really fits the theme. I also really liked the music and think it fit perfectly with the game. The only few things I would change is when you ditch a wrong piece or forget to then maybe show which piece it was for future reference. Another thing that could happen is if this game is expanded you might need to add more lives when you get to the next level. But overall for a jam game this is really well made good job!

glad you liked the art and thanks for playing the game. I’ve gotten the jump feedback a lot and I agree sorry for the difficulties thanks again!

also just saw the last part of your message and I will definitely let you know if I ever need someone to help work on a game with. Thanks again!

will do and thanks again!

thanks for playing and giving feedback on my game. I agree the camera could be improved. I will definitely be improving it in the future. Thanks again!

thanks for taking the time to play my game and give feedback. I agree that the camera could use some work. Whenever I was playtesting I already knew when I needed to jump so it made it easier sorry for the difficulties and thanks again for the feedback I appreciate it! I will definitely be checking out your game!

glad you enjoyed the game and thanks for the feedback. I agree have gotten multiple people talking about that part on prickly peak and I agree. I will definitely focus on bettering the camera so it makes it less of a lucky jump. Thanks again!

Yep this was my seconds ever and I just started getting back into game dev last week after a year break. I really appreciate the feedback and will definitely look into parallax scrolling for future games/updates to this game. I completely understand the frustration with the camera and the jumps I was busy 2 out of the 3 days so I didn’t get to polish everything as much as I would like. Also I will most likely be updating this game so I will most likely add small/large jumps. Thanks for all the feedback I really appreciate it! I will definitely be checking out your game. Thanks again!

No problem! Good luck with your next games and thanks again for the tips!

This game is really smooth and has a lot of great features. The color change along with the the overall feel for the game is really smooth. The music is very nice compared to mine and I feel like this game overall has a lot of potential. I read through some of the comments below and saw that you did use procedural generation which is really cool! For my next game after I fix this game I am planning on doing a survival game which will use procedural generation which I still need to learn how to do. While the game does not fully go around the theme I feel like this game and pretty much all of its elements are really well done in such a short period of time. Overall, the mechanics and the grapple/gun feel very nice and I really like this style of art and game play. Thank you once again for the awesome advice on my game sorry my response is not as long but I feel like your game is really polished which is very nice. Great game and keep the work up!

Thank you so much for the very kind words. I 100% agree with all the things that you said. With this being my very first game and game jam game I was focused on learning the code and getting the game to work which is why some categories might have been lacking. The art I made in the first day in hopes to make it better if I got time in the end but never ended up getting that time. The code to get the shop working took the longest amount of time which cut into other areas. With that the UI I agree could of also been improved upon which I will definitely be doing in the near future. With the UI I will remove the GUI boxes in for text to make it easier to see and more visually appealing. Next, some of the UI elements changed locations when I uploaded the game which I don't know why that happened it could of been because my selected build was for windows and when I changed it on the final day it mess up I don't know. Finally the audio was the last thing I work on so it wasn't the best along with me having to learn how to implement it into the game before the deadline.

Overall, I am really happy you enjoyed the feel for the game and think that it has potential as a mobile game. Also I am glad that you can see the uniqueness of the idea which I really tried to do. I will definitely be updating the game modes to easy normal and hard as I feel like your observation is correct on the difficulty. Next, the flowers are primary for a cosmetic feel rather than benefits to give the player the drive to unlock better looking flowers. If you have any idea how to implement the 3 heart thing that would be very helpful because I thought about that but did not end up getting it done. To conclude, you feedback was very heartwarming to hear that my first ever game someone thoroughly enjoyed and I will follow the advice you gave as I feel that all of it is very accurate. I will be sure to check out your game and give it a rate and feedback as I am very thankful for yours on my game. Thanks again!!

P.S. Your high score is around mine but haven't gotten the most amount of time to go for a high score and rather testing the game

This is a great game overall! The audio is very nice along with the puzzles making you think what you need to be at all times. Along with that the one screen text to give you control tips is very helpful and nice. While the double jump felt a little off at time the game was great overall! If possible could you check out my game and rate it if you haven't already. Thanks!

This is definitely one of the best games I've played so far from the jam. The combat and enemies and their abilities all feel really good. While the character and the friends do not have the most animations the gameplay, all the levels, and the final boss all felt good. Great game! If possible could you also check out my game and rate it if not done already. Thanks!

Thanks glad you liked the concept of the game. Also thanks for taking the time to try my game and rate it ill make sure to check yours out too. Thanks again!

Thanks for taking the time to play the game. Glad you enjoyed it. Ill make sure to take a look at your game too. Thanks again!

Ok I understand I just felt that it would be better if you spawned at last campfire not saying it was happening. Sorry for the confusion overall great game.

This is a very well put together game with a lot of different levels/scenes. Along with that the art and audio are very well made along with the animations and the feedback on attacks. A few things that could be improved upon if I had to pick would be in a few spots where you would be able to kill the enemies without them see/engaging you along with having to fully restart if you die instead of spawning at last campfire which would add to the theme. Overall a great game with awesome art, audio, and combat which could definitely be expanded in the future.

Thanks for the feedback I noticed that issue the final day of the project and with this being my first ever project I did not know how to fix it. Overall glad you like the game and will be sure to look at yours. Thanks again for the feedback!

Very good looking game with the minimal art style. The controls seemed good however the levels were definitely a challenge which was nice but confusing at time. Overall, the audio, art, and creativity made it a great game and with polish and new features could make it a full game. If possible a play through and rate of my game would help a lot. Thanks again!

I liked the art style and the gameplay. It somewhat fits the theme with a restart when dying but could of been built on more. Overall a good game that can be expanded in the future with more decor, enemies, new levels, etc.

Thanks for the play through was there any specific feature that needed improved on. Will take a look at your game. Thanks again!

Like the art style and the game play the speed of movement can be hard to control at some times but overall a good game that has potential. If possible a play through of my game and rate would be helpful. Thanks!
