The UI, sprite art, and background art are incredibly strong and cohesive, particularly in terms of colors. It felt like a complete game that can be released as is. The use of a limited color palette helps make the game feel very unique and memorable. The satirical flavor text is also very memorable and entertaining. The gameplay is very strong, and very entertaining.  On the downside, it was slightly slow paced, and I found that it was difficult to understand the tutorial. A more interactive tutorial, or diagrams, may serve to help acclimate players.

The game however seems to have a rather complicated interpretation of the Theme “Change the Story”. On one hand, there is a degree of nuance to the topic of climate change, about how there needs to be a balance between both your personal needs and the environmental concerns. On the other you are incentivised to follow a certain playstyle, a narrative, with each role in order to win.

You have a very solid story and concept in this game. The tension of trying to figure out who we are and what is going on made me feel very invested in the story. I also liked the models and the artwork, they felt very cohesive.  I'm not used to platformers, but I enjoyed the mechanics of the gameplay, and the gradual introduction of new mechanics. However, there were a few bugs where I would get stuck on corners, the character would freeze before falling down.  I would have also preferred the option to use WASD keys and space, as it feels more natural to use. Also, I think some of the trees in the background were blown big.

I'm tempted to make a cat edit. Tarnyation, if you will

On the plus side, I really liked the direction and I had fun playing the game once I figured out what I was supposed to do. Making blocks and seeing them slot together was very satisfying. The art direction was consistent, and I liked the almost whimsical tone of the game. It helps ease the player into the more serious themes.

The playable demo was a bit buggy though. The music stopped after a certain point, and when my tower reached the area where the blocks had been spawning from, the spawned block caused my tower to fall down even before I released it. One block even started floating in space. I'd recommend having either a sensor to check when the tower has reached a certain height, so that the height in which the block spawns from can be adjusted accordingly.  I also was unsure what was meant to be the fuel blocks and what was meant to be the natural blocks, as I felt that both types seem to be easily stackable.

All in all, a good twist on a fun game mechanic and I loved the art.

The WASD mechanic was a bit difficult for me to understand, maybe it's just because I'm not good with it. But otherwise the game looks very polished! I like the water mechanics and the fact that you can redo a jump, though not too much otherwise the heat will get you. It feels very natural and organic.

Very cool! Love the pixel art, it feels reminiscent of old point and click games, which I love. You also have a very cool style and intriguing poster that makes me very interested in how the story is going to go. My favorite part is the manual typing of the emails! There's something very fun and tactile about it.

Your document is very well informed and interesting! I can see what kind of game you are all planning on making, and the way you've implemented climate awareness and management is very clear! I wish you all the best on your progress!

I love the blocky aesthetics of the game. You've created a world that can both be soft, happy and calm as well as dark and menacing when the trees disappear and the island is covered in dust storms. The colors and palettes are very pleasing to the eye. And I love the little goat models. So cute! A simulation game to show how actions can change a world is also very interesting, and I like the detailed statistics you have in the corner. It might be good to add a UI to it, as the white can sometimes blend into the background.
