thank you! If you make anything weird or wild with it let me know!

Very cool! thank you for using it!

I'm not too sure where I got them or the usage rights for them so I'm just going to design some and upload it. As for the wall mounts, I made those with primitives within Unity and will also try to model some of those in blender. If you still need them I'll have it uploaded either tonight or tomorrow!

actually I lied lmao. Listening to these again, only the flying sound effects were windows noises.

The voices are text to speech. and then most are random sounds that just got delayed and slows to hell and back. This is when I was heavily experimenting with glitchy noises. So It'd make a lot of weird, glitchy, harsh noise sounds and then try to calm them down with reverb and delay. I tried to get a lot of ambient sounds out of glitches.

I do have a bandcamp where I play with some really weird sounds there!

even though I uploaded this in 2021 I think I made these between 2016-2018. It's been a while so I may not remember how exactly I made them lol. But I know I used audacity for all of them. I had a couple plug-ins for bitcrushing but other than that it was mostly the effects audacity comes with.

I think what I used for effects would be; echo, delay, reverb, phaser, paulstretch, and then bitcrush. I played around a lot with reversing and speed changes too. Most of the time it was slowing something down, layering it with itself, playing with effects, reversing or slicing it up, all sorts of experimenting.

As for sampling? I honestly think it was mostly Windows and Apple sound effects that I played with. There might be a couple odd noises I randomly recorded or played with on a synth but yeah, mostly Windows sound effects I liked.

Please share how you use em! I'd love to see.

Hey you're awesome. I've updated it and doing the same to my other assets

ooohhh man. okay thank you so much for saying this.  I'm going to take down the files but keep up the page so others can know this risk. This may be one of my biggest fears. I'll go through my project and see what's going on, this is the first time I tried making something that saves data, I don't believe the project has any kind of online functionality but I also used premade assets. I'm very sorry about this.

well I lied, good news is I’m just going to make an update and add some new stuff/quality of life. Bad news it’s going to take a couple of days.

I think I know the issue. Try clicking on the text. I’ll fix this issue and update after work today

Public domain. Use however you'd like.

The idea is to use every AI and procedural tool I've made to make the CRAZIEST dungeon!! You have challenged a Technomancer to prove the efficiency and creative that AI can AID, rather than replace.

This post is just to bring up my gripes with making that an official rule. AI and generative programs are tools that aid designers and DMs, not replace them. Don't stifle creative processes! Be inclusive to other creators.

that is really considerate of you, thank you.

You could put, “Select art assets used from [Name Of Asset Pack Here] were created by Devin Larson of BTL Games.” Or “Select art assets used from [Name Of Asset Pack Here] were created by BTL Games.“ either in the projects credits page or just the itch.io page. Or you don’t have to! Im not picky on either how or if you credit. I’m just really glad you’re considering using them! Thank you!

please link me the project though. I’d love to check it out.

Hey all! These assets are free and are Copyright free. I'm going to work on a game this year but I figured I should share what I'm making incase I don't have a final project. If it helps you get ahold of your own project or inspires you to jump into the jam, these are here for you!

Hey I just wanna have some clarification on rules!
Do we need to create or game within this time or can we post games we've already made?
Are premade assets allowed?
you say nothing past PG13 but what if we have content warnings and labels?
teaming up allowed?

Sorry to bother you. either way I'm gonna post something. But I'd love to post a pre-made game that fully fits this theme.

They are! Sorry I will update the description later today.

This makes me very happy. I'll check em out later today!

:,) your comment makes me feel like an accomplished artist, thank you.

thank you so much!! I have a horror con planned so I’m going to revisit this and finally add more stuff like I always wanted to. Thank you for playing and keep an eye out for updates in the next two months!

I don't use RPG Maker so I may be wrong here. But they set their tile sizes to 48x48 right? These are set to 32x32 and wont scale up to 48 properly.

I would try finding a plugin that allows you to change your tiles sizes! Looking on the forums I found these:
https://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?threads/change-tile-size.46748/
or this:
https://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?threads/tiled-plugin-version-1-3-0-released.50752/

Like I said I'm not familiar with RPG Maker but I think it's a little strange you can't change your tile sizes.

thank you so much!

absolutely! Thank you!

no, thank you!!

My ability with art ranges to many different styles, techniques, and genres. I prefer pixel art but would be willing to experiment with other styles.  As a programmer I've working mainly with game maker and unreal. I'm pretty versed in the C family languages. But would ultimately pick game maker & unreal over learning a new engine/UI.

I need to challenge myself with new projects and be involved in the community more. So I figured joining a group for a jam is a good way to spread my wings!

that really means a lot! Thank you so much!

absolutely! Let me know what you come up with! I looked at The Gates of Truth TTRPG page and I got to say, it looks really interesting and I'm going to have to get it soon.

armed combatants, dangerous beast, & creatures only known in legend. You okay as none of these. Instead, you play as the arena leader, controlling the shots and determining who lives and dies.

Gladiator Simulator is a small top down sandbox game where you place in random enemies to fight. There’s a lot of hidden mechanics and interesting interactions!

It’s also only in alpha and has a ways to go before it’s a fully fleshed out project. So suggestions are very much appreciated. I’m planning on some interesting monsters and characters. Humans will have Hero archetypes at some point, still debating on how that mechanic will shake out!

completely free license. I want anyone to be able to do anything they want with them. Thank you for bringing this up, I'll update the page to reflect as such!
