I really liked this game! There were a bunch of little things that really added up to make it a good time- bug facts when you collected coins, great music, and the option to dance at the bug ball itself. Short but very sweet.

(Edit: Was able to make the ant and grasshopper dance together at the ball, so it's a GOTY contender now.)

Loved the cutscene at the start. It hooked me in immediately. Though the gameplay is simple, its executed really nicely. Love the effect of the tongue launching out to catch the bugs, the way it was handled is super clever. Definitely an entertaining interpretation of the concept!

Really interesting little game! I'm excited to see where development of it goes in the future. I love the main character's design.  I enjoyed wandering through the maze and attacking the bugs- seeing them tumble and roll at me menacingly was funny.

Super fun!!!! Really impressive for being made in two hours (?!?!?) and pretty polished too. Simple concept and good execution. I thought I'd have a bad time getting the flies where I wanted, but jank was barely even present. Would've been nice to see the puzzles get more difficult as they went on (lightbulb placement in the puzzles felt a bit random), but it's understandable due to the development time. Also, the music was nice.

Really neat music. Running and jumping felt pretty satisfying, though I found myself hitting my head on the ceiling a lot and missing jumps. In fact a lot of jumps didn't even feel possible. The inclusion of an NPC was a nice extra bit, though I was a little confused on the story starting out.

Wow!!! The level of polish game is at with its visuals and sfx is insane for the amount of development time. Though it was short, I had fun exploring every inch of the cavern. I'm impressed- this is some really excellent work!

Pretty neat game! Love the incorporation of the story, it really made it stand out. I did find it a bit tedious to have to inch forward and kill any bug that was on the edge of my screen. Also, the player moves really quickly and its easy for them to become out of control, which got frustrating. Other than that, though, really solid game! Definitely enjoyed playing!

First off, I loved the use of textures! The more realistic assets gave the game a unique feel. I did have a pretty difficult time actually maneuvering the car. The acceleration feels really floaty and I just couldn't get used to the drifting. The game concept and atmosphere are both really intriguing, though!

I really liked the concept of this one. I appreciated the use of sound effects. I would've liked to see some set difficulty options in place of the numerous different options available- I was unsure of what the "bugs" and "butterflies" numbers did. It was hard to find a balance that worked with so many different variables to change, though I did enjoy how you could set the target score.

This is an incredibly polished game! Simple concept but really wonderful execution. The music choice was absolutely perfect for the slowly building tension as the game got more difficult. Excellent job!

Strong aesthetics! I enjoyed how this game looks. However, like others, I keep getting an error a few seconds into gameplay. Additionally, it's hard to understand what needs to be done and even after that I felt like I was missing something due to the lantern not being able to reach the bottom of the screen. The sound effects and music were neat, though.

Wow, love the atmosphere in this one! It was really charming to see the story play out. The storytelling was simple yet effective. I enjoyed the sounds used and even little effects like the lightning and the bugs following you added a lot to the game. Also, I love how the assets looked! They looked coherent together. However, the gameplay was pretty slow and consisted mostly of me aimlessly wandering around the map. I wasn't exactly sure how to avoid the red flies from taking mine away.

I liked the music and sprites! The lantern in particular is really pretty. The puzzles themselves were neat, if a little on the simple side. I enjoyed how you gradually introduced elements like the switches and campfires. There are a few places where I would've liked to see a bit more put into the visual side of things. For instance, you can clearly see in where the fill tool was used when coloring in the triangular beams of light. A solid little puzzle game!

i ADORE this game!!!! beautiful art and aesthetics and a fun concept that fit super well with the theme. loved the inclusion of the buttons, switches, and frogs. these elements made each of the levels distinct and interesting. the puzzles were just the right amount of difficult. i had a hard time getting the moths into the goal of the levels sometimes, but it was never too much of an issue. i really enjoyed this submission :)

LOVE this game so much!!!! Really charming concept, delightful art, I don't think I ran into a single bug??? I mean, aside from the moth wife, that is. My only complaint is similar to what others have said- that it's difficult to understand what to do in the microgames the first few times. One microgame (the one where you have to grab her before she touches a streetlight) is completely devoid of instructions, and another (the 'shine' one, I believe?) left me confused even after 4 or 5 playthroughs. But, overall, I had an absolute blast with this one!!!

really interesting little game! the concept was intriguing and the art looked great! i really loved how the boss looked and moved. i thought the whole boss fight was really well put together, actually. i did find a way to cheese it by standing in the corner where it couldn't get me though... the music was great. sound effects would have been appreciated, but the tracks i heard play were awesome and fit the tone really well. i had fun with this one!
