Once again I'm happy to hear your enthusiasm. As for the bug I got a save file with the issue, so I hope I can properly fix it but I can't right now. I might not be able to post a proper update until the end of the year, but once I fix the problem I'll update the game again (maybe this or next month but no promises). I also can't promise that even if I fix the issue that it will work for the older version. However, most of the bug fixes so far worked when I played with saves from older versions. If you want to continue to play you should though. Also, thank you in advance for your contributions.
Don't worry it didn't sound agressive to me at all and I really like your ideas. I might even take you up on that offer, especially for spell checking because I know in the early stuff I didn't check spelling as much as I probably should have. The only thing that bothers me sometimes quite a bit is whenever I have a look at the analytics and see that my first the releases had the most downloads but naturally those also had the least content and are way buggier in comparison to now. Same with funding for the game, there was a period of time where I had some respectable income that I always used to commission new artwork. More importantly I'm still very grateful to everyone who's donated so far, especially my former patreons if they happen to read this xD. As for the team it's basically just myself even though at first I had someone who helped with implementing the plugins and get the game working in the first place. I remember having some popular-ish posts on reddit and twitter but it never translated to a increase in followers but something that does hype me up is the fact that two reviewers follow me on twitter and one of them said she was going to do a review eventually. By the way can you maybe tell me your approval rating with the Semayi people, then I can compare it with my game-testing save file. Thanks again and I'm looking forward to hear from you again.
Okay, I think that's something I can work with I remember changing the approval requirement once because initially you had to complete all side quests in the region and choose the peaceful option for the people not to riot, so I reduced it a bit maybe that's really it. Although a dialogue should trigger at the very least that's why it still confuses me why it would just freeze. Anyway, I'll have a look later today but I probably still won't be able to update the game before May. Once again sorry for the inconvenience but I'm glad to hear about issues. Also, before I forget I might as well ask. Besides the issues how do you like the game so far? Thanks for playing.....
First of all, thanks for the input. I definitely appreciate the comment, especially if you don't usually set up accounts. As for your Hazard punk issue it might be because you used an older save if you started with an earlier version. Before the last update I playtested most of the available content myself and I don't have any problem with the guy who's blocking the way initially. Also, changing values like stats really shouldn't be a big deal and I'm still not sure what could cause the game freeze. If I'm not forgetting something right now you should also have almost every available companion at the moment. I'm sorry if I can't be of further assistance right now but I'd really appreciate hearing from you again once the next update comes out or if you start a new game perhaps. Once something else comes up or you have more feedback, report or suggestions please don't hesitate to post them again. Even if I can't necessarily work on them immediately I'll take notice and try to fix things as soon as possible. Either way, thanks again and please look forward to the next update which I'm trying to release by May.
Well, if you got the new sword you technically don't need the boat at the moment because there are no other islands with content but I guess I should add the option to spawn the boat whenever to prevent future issues. As far as weapons are concerned you don't have to repair them at all unless I implemented that feature without noticing xD.
Yea well a lot of stuff is/was just annoying, for the most part, overall I'm alright though. I know the scrolling isn't perfect but I'm glad it was helpful anyway. As for that part of the Knowledgeseeker quest, it's actually not available yet but I honestly didn't notice because it's technically an older quest before I started adding the quest objectives "Not Available Yet" to newer quests. Do you think I should add quests like that to both compendiums maybe? Honestly, sorry for the confusion and also thanks for your concern. Before last month, I was also trying to play through everything again, but I clearly didn't manage. I hope the next update works out better in terms of content and bug fixes xD.
No problem. I think I'm simply going to list the quests by location somewhere in the castle and if a quest has prerequisites I'm adding those eventually too. Just a heads up though the next update will be mostly fixes again due to some issues I'm going to mention in the next update post, I'll definitely try to include the quest overview.
Ohh sure don't worry I can dedicate a section within the castle and/or in the patch notes to quests and characters in the next update. I already made sure that newer quests say that they can't be completed yet, but I haven't updated all the older ones. I mean I think I completed most of the currently available content at the Depths but I forgot to add the introduction that you can actually go there after the assault, sorry about the confusion again. Also, since it's basically only me (Vector) working on the game I'm informed xD. As always thanks for the feedback though.
I definitely don't want to make them mutually-exclusive. I just thought it would be nice to have more than one option (even though I know there is only 1 for each building right now xD). Initially I thought to make it so you can recruit different people at your own pace and I kinda liked having an extra condition to using the buildings, but I guess you have point. I might change a few things around, so that once you paid for the building you can simply recruit the related characters. As a matter of fact though I'm currently creating two ways to enter a new area and one of them would involve a new character for the tavern. Either way thanks for the feedback though xD.
I didn't wanna do another Devlog but I had to replace the version I uploaded two days ago because I forgot to include some essential bug fixes. I'm sorry for the inconvenience but sometimes I change things without double checking / playtesting. Once again I appreciate everyone who provides positves feedback that helped discover the bugs.
I mean it naturally doesn't bother me very much xD. I quite like it actually, however, I understand your issue, but I want to make the speech different for certain characters. If you got any suggestions to improve the speech I'd appreciate it. In theory I could eventually try to update all dialogue involving her and others chars and add an item to choose between special speech and basic speech?
Bruh it seems like you are pretty angry yourself. Seriously did the pronouns hurt you somewhere? By the way what do you even mean by shitting on player's choice? The appearances can always be updated and eventually we might offer gender options, so people can live out their fantasy of playing as a male or whatever. However, starting off it simply offers the most potential of lewd scenarios to use a somewhat more androgynous design for the protagonist/player character. Beside all that just live your life brother, but why bother commenting if you only complain about the weirdest stuff, instead of providing some real feedback?
It’s great to hear that you’ve enjoyed the game thus far, especially the characters. As for some of your cons. You’re right with the shortened words, initially we thought it would make the speech of those characters appear more casual, but it’s probably unnecessary like you said. For the movement did you enable auto dashing in the options? Otherwise, we also had the experience that the game can sometimes become super-fast, but also laggy when the fps option is turned on/off. About the MC, there are other artworks that depict them more feminine, but only one where they are wearing clothes. At some point we might be able to include a different full body artwork which the player can choose from at the beginning of the game which will be displayed instead, but the same might not be done for the face portrait. Either way thank you so much for your feedback! We always appreciate receiving feedback and the next update which should drop soonish will include a feature which should streamline the process of reporting bugs and other issues as well.
