Gosh, I loved every single minute of this--my favorite game of the jam so far, and honestly one of my favorite indie visual novels I've played overall! 💚 The premise reminds me of the film Night On Earth, albeit with more of a cohesive storyline--the writing is well-paced, witty, and tight; the art design is playful and cozy; the music and sound design elevate the scenes in an organic way. Absolutely phenomenal; thank you to the team for creating such a delightful experience! ✨

Holy cats, this is massive in both scope and polish for a demo, let alone for a jam game! The voice acting is absolutely phenomenal, the characters are delightful and grounded, and the story manages to hit the sweet spot for me in terms of a tonal balance between tension and humor. I love the artwork, and the music and ambient soundscapes feel organic and add to the sense of isolation and danger. Definitely intrigued, and looking forward to seeing more! 💚

Wow, this one is a journey!! 💚 Had so much fun with the delightfully unhinged game of channel-surfing hopscotch the story takes you on; the writing, art, voices, and sound design are all excellent, and tie together brilliantly into a disturbing and wonderful package. Phenomenal work to the whole team!

Ooh, I enjoyed this! ✨ I've got a soft spot for Victorian Gothic stories, and this is a charming steampunk-flavored iteration on the genre. I quite like how the character sprites are handled--while incredibly pared-back, it's expressive, stylistically unique, and still perfectly serves to reflect the emotions and actions of the characters. Delightful as Arabella and Jack are, I'm particularly fond of Eyre, whose physical descriptors (impractical, pinpoint feet and hands, the paradox of her limited speech) feel like an especially incisive representation of women's treatment during (...and before, and after...) the Victorian era.
I'm happy with the ending I received, where Eyre now lives happily ever after with Bronte as a self-sufficient (robo)cat-(robo)lady. 💚

This game is so incredibly sweet! I love the unusual take on vampires as being vulnerable instead of powerful; it made for a really neat change in dynamic. The artwork is incredibly slick and polished, and there are so many CGs!! Super impressed by the quality of this entry (also there's a pet the cat mechanic? A PET THE CAT MECHANIC!?! 💚 Purr-fection, indeed!)

There is a very particular, special kind of oddness that permeates certain small seaside towns, and this is honestly the first time I think I've seen that represented so well! Absolutely adored this start to finish; the character and monster designs are both phenomenal, the story is strong, well-written, and intriguing, the music melodic and whimsical--and I practically shed tears of joy when I found I could skip the fishing mini-game, because for reasons unknown fishing mechanics are my perennial bane, hahaha.
(Additionally: I see that Pan's Labyrinth easter-egg! Or rather, heard it! 💚)
My only--admittedly greedy--complaint is that after falling in love with all the cast of characters, I was left wanting more of the ensemble interactions at the end; though then again, I still wouldn't be ready to let them go. ✨ Such wonderful work, team--one of my favorites of the jam by far!

Wow, thank you so very much! 💚 I definitely consider being compared to Disco Elysium as an extremely high compliment!!
As far as the choice of Ren'py goes, it really was just familiarity/comfort; I haven't worked in Narrat before (and neither has the UI programmer, I don't believe), so--particularly for a jam!--it was simply a case of sticking with the devil I know.
Thank you again for the kind words--I really enjoyed Hocus Opus as well! ✨
Gosh, this is such an ambitious ambitious entry, and it's a solo work?! I'm so sorry you ran into issues early on, but now that I've been able to play it, it has the feel of an adventure epic condensed into a jam format--I admire your drive and vision so much, and look forward to what works you will create going forward, as well!
