Yea that is a weird error to get. From my research it seems related to DirectX I would try to re-download the game again and see if it runs. Worst case is you may have to update directX some how. Though I would start off with wiping the folder and re-downloading.

.RAR and .ZIP don't really matter in this case. I would suggest downloading WINRAR. I just downloaded my game right now.

This was my result using WINRAR. As you can see nothing is wrong with it. I also ran my game as well inside the RAR file and there is no issue. Unfortunately, I won't be exporting the project to unity nor can I give you the project. It also seems like in picture your trying to open the project via Unreal. That is another reason why it won't work. The project has already been packaged so trying to open it in Unreal won't work. I suggest downloading an extractor like WINRAR. Then you will be able to play the game. Trying to run any executable game that has been packaged in an engine will throw you these kinds of errors. So refrain from trying to run games inside the respective engines or you will get these confusing errors.

Make sure to extract the game from the zip file with all the files it includes. If your trying to run it via the zip file it may not exactly work.

I created the game using Unreal engine. I recommend using an engine that works for  you plus make sure you look up tutorials on how to code certain functions and  all that.

Once you followed the steps in  the video you should get a zip  file open that zip file and extract the contents of that zip file to your desktop or a folder. Then run the game which is an exe file. If you don't have winrar please download it off your browser by looking it up.

Its quite simple to do.

I would recommend you extra the folder onto your desktop rather than trying to open it from the zip file. Opening games from  a zip file can cause issues sometimes. It is best to extract the folder onto your desktop.

Yes I already understood from the beginning of my game dev journey that parody game while great yes. Its better to create your own games. So yes I absolutely thought about that. The reason why I made crunchy and toasty is because it was a fun thing to do and get experience in game development. Other than that I most likely won't make any more parody games.

Great question.  Game development is a slow and calculating  process. So therefore factoring working a job during my week and other things that take up my time. I would say not soon. So I would ask you to be patient since I don't see the point giving people a rushed and buggy game.

So if you do not have any program that will be compatible with a zip file then fire fox will not know how to open it.  I would suggest installing Winrar download the game again and make sure to extract the folder into the desktop and try that.

Hi Interesting Error you got my friend. In terms of being offensive not exactly sure how, this is saying to you it has something to do with your computer. The game works fine and if it was a bug in the game or has something to do with the game I would have picked up on this ages ago. 

I have a feeling it is your computer so I cannot help you with this one. You could look the error up online I am sure there are many useful places that may give you an idea on how to fix this.

Hello, I am not sure what you mean by this. If your talking about a playble game inside of the chrome browser, then no. You must download from the game page and extract the zip file using winrar to your desktop to play.

I am assuming  you probably do not have winrar installed. As a zip file or .rar, you  will be able to open up in any file extraction program. I would suggest you install winrar if you don't have it.  The open app here in windows is because window's does not know what to do with the file since it doesn't have anything to properly  run it or open it up. 

My advice to you is download winrar or 7zip and re download  the game.

Hello Combat_Cowboy, Inside the RAR File it should contain the file to run the game properly.  You must download the RAR file and extract the contents in a folder or your desktop.

I have one question are you trying to properly open the game via the zip file or messing around with game files? I only ask this because the game does not have a saving system meaning you should open it via the EXE file that was included in the zip file. You must extract the contents of the zip file to your desktop or in a folder and open the .exe. If you are messing with save files it will produce funny behavior because there is no save functionality in the game.

Seymour will steal your boxes of cereal on easier difficulties. Where as on hard mode he will instantly kill you. 

On easier modes he takes boxes of cereal on hard difficulty he will kill you.

You basically click the download now button.

Then you can choose if you want to donate or not. But if you don't click a button called "no thanks take me to the download" you will get a zip file. Extract or move the contents of the zip file to your desktop 

That is how you download the game.

So crunchy took two years, and toasty probably a couple of months. Crunchy I got help from Dave and everyone listed in the game page, and Toasty I coded on my own. About being on my team I think I will politely reject.  

Well One pack is for 64 bit computers and another is for 32 bit computers. Check which version your computer is and download the one accordingly.

So Yes it does require you to code in Unreal engine, there are two methods in which  you can code.

1. C++ Coding Language which uses Visual Studio in order to code. 
2. BPS(Blueprint Script) This is a drag and drop style of programming which will require you to have a understanding of logic. 

Also No it doesn't cost any money to create on unreal unless you are making and selling games via a market like steam I believe. I am not sure on that. 

Though it is totally free to create again unless like I said above or your paying to buy assets from the market. If your interested in creating in Unreal you can download it from the EPIC website via the epic games installer.
