although we didn't get to implement a stronger connection to lore, we wanted to have it so that the weeping girl was the protagonist's friend (denoted by the "朋友" decal near her character). Upon learning that you need 6 bodies (after collecing the pages), the idea was that you now have a reason to kill even your friend. We never actually had the time to show this more clearly, as we wanted to finish the entire game within a week, and we also haven't playtested this, but I hope this ending still works!
Such a cool idea!!!! I thought that the whole concept of only using X for everything went really well with the jam's theme! As a game, the collision was a little buggy and the objectives and teaching the players of the mechanics was not the greatest, but it was definitely playable enough to be enjoyable and really fun to mess around with for giggles. I really thought that this game was really creative and impressive for a 48-hour marathon!

You are the One Knife Ninja
Explore and make your way through this beautiful world, hidden in the shadows. There's only one catch: You only have a single throwing knife. Cleverly make your way through levels making sure you keep your only weapon close and retrieve it from the corpses of your foes. Sneak, attack, and platform your way through all the levels to prove yourself as the greatest (and most resourceful) ninja of all time.
This game was created from scratch within 48 hours for the GMTK 2019 Game Jam.
