Bio scientist Aisha, Graduand Marine Miguel, Translator Tim and spaceship pilot Aiko have been hastily assembled for a classified mission issued by their employee, the Ministry of Intergalactic Relations.  Tasked to retrieve a mysterious offering—a "gift"—from an unknown alien species to humanity's Empress, the crew descend on a strange,  jungle infested planet . What seems like a simple drop in, drop out mission soon spirals into a harrowing nightmare as they discover the dark secret behind the ancient artifact that is The Gift.

The Gift is a Mothership RPG one shot adventure designed for 4 players and one game master. It blends elements of exploration, investigation, and survival horror.

Hi lord_ryvan!

Tokens everywhere!

I've illustrated 120 tokens for use in RPG adventures. On the page you will find a zip folder with all tokens as individual PNGs for VTT (Virtual Tabletop) use, along with a PDF containing printable sheets of the tokens for print-and-play.

Check out the here: https://coen-balkestein.itch.io/rpg-token-pack

These tokens are designed to match the setting and tone of my free RPG system, Tellan, which you can check out here.

However, they can just as easily be used with any other RPG! :^)

Dankjewel Alexander! :^)

In the forgotten marches of Krochtendal, a group of quirky outcasts gathers at the misty inn, The Drowned Moon, to take on what seems like an “amazingly easy” job. Hired by the tipsy bartender Maarten to deliver a seemingly mundane package to the strange but wealthy Grand Wizard Ysolde, the adventurers soon realize that even the simplest tasks can spiral into unforeseen escapades when they enter her magical tower...

A Simple Delivery is a compact one-shot designed to introduce players and Game Masters to my free RPG system, Tellan. You can check out the one-shot adventure here.

This adventure can also be used for any other system, as it is not solely about pure combat statistics but focuses more on puzzles, roleplay, and creative challenges for the players to solve. Therefore, it can be adapted to many different systems, and with a little creativity, you can adjust the statistics of the premade characters and NPCs to match your preferred system. Everything specific to Tellan is indicated, so you can skip or redesign those elements if using another system.

This adventure includes the following additional printables (some of these are specific to Tellan, but they can be modified to fit your preferred system):

  • Four premade character sheets
  • Item cards
  • NPC sheets
  • Character tokens
  • Combat cards
  • Battlemaps

The adventure should run for about 3 to 4 hours and includes everything needed to get started from the get-go, but feel free to change things to fit your players and your style of running the game.

Are you ready to enter the tower of Grand Wizard Ysolde?

Hi! Thank you for the headsup! I've included a little more context about the RPG, let me know if you think anything is still missing.

Hello fellow adventurers!

I just launched my free RPG system, Tellan, today! You can check it out here: https://coen-balkestein.itch.io/tellan.

Tellan is a rules-light, funky, free-form RPG system with a focus on narrative. The system aims to maintain the heart of epic storytelling and thrilling battles with simple and fast-paced combat rules and built-in roleplaying hooks. If you love D&D, but are looking for something a little simpler, and quick to pick up, Tellan might just be what you are looking for!

On the page, you can find the 25-page PDF, which covers character creation, the rule system, and lots of free printables such as character sheets, player condition cards, loot tables, and more!

Tellan is in early development, and I'm very open to feedback to further improve the system. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!
