Heya, guessing you got the file from the hT sample songs - Feel free to use it, although explaining it's origin ("Song taken from hUGETracker sample songs, composed by blah blah blah") might be useful for people looking up the song. For any questions not related to this pack, you can reach me on the GBDev and GB Studio Discord servers or any of the other contacts in the pack description.

I wrote that function into the original PICO-8 demake, but haven't implemented it yet as my GB engine doesn't have a popup menu like PICO-8 does - I'll definetly try and implement it as an optional button configuration once I start adding settings to the game! Do you think it would work best as a single "Auto-dash and shoot with B" option?

I see - I haven't touched the source files in a while so that mustve gone over my head, my bad. I'll edit the page description to try anc clear that out, but just for posterity, the WAV files are intended for any non-gameboy usage. Thanks for letting me know this was messy ^^

The wav files uploaded here are not intended for GB Studio as mentioned in the readme - the vgm files (specifically the Naked VGM ones) are intended for GB Studio/VGM2GBSFX usage.

As mentioned in the description and the readme file, a simple "Sound effects by Coffee Valen Bat" (or just Coffee Bat) should suffice!

Yes, it's a very similar trick where you change the position of the background every 7 lines to squeeze a few more lines off the screen, that's what From Below Pocket does to squeeze more columns into the screen.

That's so cool! Didn't expect my work to be used on a thesis ever ^^' - I'd love to see the thesis once it's done (if you are fine with that of course) - Lmk how it goes!

Great take on the theme! Love the graphics and the sound is pretty good! A lack of sound effects makes the experience a bit empty but outside of that, I'd chomp on more levels of this asap!

Lovely graphics! I'll give it a deeper try later on, I'll make sure to add the game to the list

Hey! Game's composer here, here's a quick patch for that, you can apply it with something such as https://www.marcrobledo.com/RomPatcher.js/
Glad you enjoyed the music!

Lovely! I'll make sure to add it to the page

Ay thanks! I'll make sure to add your game to the page later. I've thought of making another sfx pack but I'd need more ideas for SFX developers may need (lmk if you've got any ideas), as for the delay, I believe that's actually GB Studio's issue, since the built in emulator has some pretty middling sound emulation with some sound delay.

Gotcha, good luck with the game and sfx then, lmk when the game is updated with the sfx ^^

puedes explicar tu problema? A mi me funciona bien.

Ah :p still, at least knowing the name of the game would be nice to be aware of it ^^' (they're not my kind of games but I guess that'll be something funny to put on my resume someday lol)

Heya! No problem, if there's anywhere we could discuss that like discord DM's or gmail, let me know, I have no problem with commercial use as stated in the readme, but I like making sure what's it being used for at least.

I actually made a cheat for this exact reason a few days ago for someone else lol, its 01069BCB (Value 06 at address CB9B)

Absolutely love this game, it looks incredibly polished for a 32k rom and it plays great (Even if I kinda suck at it), the sound part is a little bit bare perhaps, I can imagine space is really limited so stuff like channel 1 sweeps are used for sfx, the music is nice though. Not sure if the goal was to put the whole game on 32k but perhaps there could be some "deluxe" version with features such as highscore saving and the tunes listed as unused on the soundtrack, regardless, great job!

I feel that lol, it's a great app tho so it deserves it, good luck with the project

Nice! Although I got a question, will the option to have user added music be integrated at some point? Something like a folder alongside the game where audio files can be placed

Absolutely loved it! you got most of the collectathon concept of sm64 in 2D, there's a few things that are kinda clunky and could be fixed, such as the physics and some enemy behavior, but for a game made in a week this is great! awesome job.

Sure! Just remember to keep the game's spirit on your demake

Yeah but the export tool only supports up to 16 different carts, and this game is 80+ carts sooo yeah

Man I'd love to do that, but it'd probably require a complete rewrite of the game lol

I don't think I can do that sadly, the way Pico-8's music works makes it impossible of not extremely hard to change the volume ingame, sorry

Thank you! A difficulty spine like that sounds pretty good

Thanks! I think I messed up some parameters on the skull collision so I'll try to fix it if I ever update the game

It's actually a bug I never fixed ^^'
Will try to squeeze some extra space to fix that, but glad you enjoyed it!

Although I've never been specially great at Elite, this demake is utterly amazing and lovely to see, I just hope it's still in development, good job fella!

Thanks! glad you enjoyed the game, I'll try to add an end screen timer and other things on the next update ; )

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it

Oh uh, that's my bad, it was never tested since I don't know anyone that owns a mac, you could try playing the browser version but I don't think I can recompile the game, I lost the final version of the source files a few months ago

Oh, we forgot to fix that ^^'
We'll try to patch it (atleast the windows and web versions) but in the meanwhile, try reloading the game, sorry for the inconvenience,Thanks for the feedback tho ^^'
