Thanks for playing our game and leaving a detailed feedback, really appreciated ;)

We ended up removing the audio altogether at the end of the jam because we were still using placeholders and didn’t have anyone to work on audio (looks like i still bundled them with the game though 😱). I’ve added a note to the game page, thanks for the reminder!

Have a nice day.

Thanks, it was a really fun project to recreate this game. Glad you liked it, it made my day!

The mouse pointer should be working if you play the native (win/linux/osx) build instead of the browser one :) Yes! The RMB is supposed to do that, it’s a one of the debug features i let into the final build for run. Middle mouse button can also destroy pixels :D

Haha, we went a big overboard with the poop jokes i think but i’m happy it made you laugh at least :D

We had to cut most of the AI features we wanted and instead decided to focus on polishing with the remaining time we had. Glad at least the art and audio hit the mark ;) Thanks for playing it!

Thank you for playing our game, glad you liked the intro ;)

Some of the style of the game page (including the dino at the bottom) was done with custom CSS. More info about this here: https://itch.io/docs/creators/css-guide

Oh, thanks so much for playing our game! It was done in a very short time and i wasn’t expecting people would still play it, this made my day. <3

The level of polish is astounding on this game, super impressive for a 48h jam ! The audio design and music was super nice and the art style very well done.

Some bit of feedback:

  • I think a fullscreen button would be useful on the WebGL version because it’s very hard to see what is doing on with a big screen.
  • Had an issue with some upgrades not showing their name on my first round, but other than that, great entry.
  • Damn, that music is stuck in my head.

Thanks for making this game <3

Glad you liked the rope physics, i almost had to cut them on the last day but it was worth it i think :D

Thank you for playing our game!

Love to read comments like this, feedback is always welcome here. This is a big part of why i do game jams :)

Thanks for playing our game!

Haha yeah, that’s the placeholder sound i forgot to remove :D

Thank you for the feedbacks, especially the bug report, much appreciated!

Thank you :)

The connection to the theme was somehow lost when we started changing the gameplay. We initially wanted to have you stuck in the one room and having to interact the birds from the inside of your room (and they would be your only window with the outside world).

Hehe, sorry about the ending missing.

I wrote in a comment the ending we wanted to have for the game, even though we ran out of time. Of course it’s not something to take in consideration for the voting, but it might get some closure (sort of) for the people who hoped for a flight ending :)

The game missing an ending seems to be a bummer for people playing the game, sorry about that! 😭

Here is what we wanted to happen, depending on your score:

  • 10+ (bad ending): the birds starts to lift off the building but only the roofs comes off and you get left behind
  • 20+ (normal ending): the birds lift the top of building with you on it
  • 40+ (good ending): the birds lift everything up, and you realise the building was way bigger and was in fact a full space ship, you fly off in the distance with your new bird friends

To be fair, please don’t take this into consideration when voting!

Oh no, sorry we didn’t get to ship the endings 😂

Thank you for your kind comment!

Thanks for the feedback! Haha yeah, i totally forgot to replace the placeholder sound 😭

Thanks so much !

A note about our submission: I forgot to remove a placeholder sound (player death), which we didn’t create during the jam, sorry about that.

Oh yeah, keeping your “team” to the next round would have been nice! Kinda mad I didn’t think about that haha.

Thanks for playing!

Thanks! I think I might explore this idea in another game format later down the line ;)

Ah yes I ran of time and had to leave the audio stuff behind, sorry about that! Thank you for the feedbacks.

I did like the idea of being a symbiote but the controls made it really hard for me to get into.

What a great entry! The art and audio fit the game really well and the design is super interesting.

The difficulty and randomness does make this really frustrating at time, but i still enjoyed it a lot overall.

I would play totally play a game like this (with some difficulty adjustments of course).

Yeah, we had placeholder names for the development phase (and before people started commenting to help others) :)

Hehe glad you liked it! That was the intended experience, thanks for revising your rating <3

Helping other players beat the game :)

Oh boy, the art and audio on this one are super nicely done! The world and atmosphere came out great even in a few screens.

I was expecting something to happen when they were all together but was surprised that nothing changed in the gameplay (from what i can tell).

I like the take on the theme, gives me some megaman vibes in the sense that you win their power :D

I love the idea and the art a LOT, but damn if I’m bad at it, haha.

🤔

Thanks you! I’m not really big into bullet-hells too and that’s exactly what i wanted for this game :D

Oh no i’m sorry, you should be able to see other ships come help you. It shouldn’t matter if they post the comment during your play session though. The trigger for this in game is dying 3 times, maybe you didn’t reach that point?

Thanks a lot!

Did you accept the help from other players? If you keep playing the game (it triggers after 3 deaths), something big will change and you i think it fits the theme quite well :)

Thanks for the feedbacks! <3

There is an alternative ending if you manage to beat the game without receiving any help (it’s not much tbh), i don’t think a lot of players will get to see it though, haha.

Haha, yes this was absolutely my inspiration but didn’t want to spoil anything so i didn’t mention it on the game page :P The “request assistances” come after 3 deaths, maybe i should have done a better job teasing this in game 🤔

Hehe that is exactly what i did :)
