The last day was crunch :D But it was worth it for intro/outro. Without that, it would be a story-less and quite random game.
Princess Metroid is a staple in my games. She first appeared in another game (where she promoted here upcoming game), and I hope someday I will make a full fledged Metroidvania with her as the main character :)
Thanks! Your feedback is very helpful :) I will hit you up with the gamepad issue. The game is intended for gamepad and the layout for the keys is indeed a bit awkward.
Sadly during the jam, there was no time to add sounds X( But this is definetly on the ToDo List.
Love the idea of easing out of the minigames. I see what I can do :)
Wow, that experience was truly touching! I was expecting a twist of sadness at every turn, but instead, it overflowed with heartwarming moments. Your ability to convey an entire life's story with just a few bandages is absolutely astounding. Such incredible storytelling and emotional depth. Bravo! 😢🌟
Thank you for sharing your experience with my game. 😊
The fact that the emotional journey took you by surprise and evoked genuine tears from you means the world to me.
I wholeheartedly believe that games have the power to tell meaningful stories and facilitate personal growth, and your feedback validates that belief. Your support and encouragement inspire me to continue creating heartfelt experiences. I'm grateful to have made such an impact. 🌸😊
Wishing you strength and comfort as you navigate your own personal loss. Thank you once again for taking the time to share your thoughts. Sending virtual hugs your way! 🌸😊
Love this cute little game. The Art is really well done, and gives the game a whimsical feel. The music is chosen perfectly and the SFX is really fitting. Also love that parallax! I loved to see how the world came back to life :)
Gameplay-wise I have some feedback: It doesn't seem like catching flowers have little effect, and catching the magic wand is the only way to progress. So I focused only on the magic wands instead of the flowers, even though they were so cute!
A very relaxing game :)I love, how the orders don't have a timer and my star counter doesn't get lower if I mess an order up.
I would have liked it a bit more, if the flower pots where next to each other, like on the keyboard, instead of them being at different heights, that made me reach for the wrong keys a few times.
Thanks!
All my animations are very rushed here, I ran out of time. But it was really my fault for overscoping. I would have loved to play out the story slower and add a bit more garden activities, letting the plants actually grow, gaining multiple suns throughout, having a little "sun-meter" showing you how far your healing process has come along. Giving you the ability to rearrange your flowers would have been nice to.
Thanks for your feedback :)
You are right, readability is still an issue, should have prioritized that over staying true to my color palette ^^ Well, learned something.
When you ended on hyacinth, did you not see any planting spots or were the planting spots not working? Sometimes there is an issue, where the last planting spot is hidden behind the biggest flower of the game, but you haven't played that far.
Such a cozy and chill game.
I got over 100 flowers, since the intro said one bee will get up to 100 flowers, was waiting to get a new bee or a win screen or something, sadly not ^^ Still fun, though.
I really like the song, but after around 50 flowers it got quite repetetive , I thought it might be just the same sample over and over again on endless loop, but then it faded out and started again. A bit more variation and the ability to loop it endlessely without noticing a seam would make the song even better.
