What a soft and thought-provoking game! I enjoyed the visuals and the music. The dialogue was very touching, and it was clear that there was a lot of soul put into this. The story seemed complete and comforting. Also a nice detail to have the player choose where to plant each flower sorta making their own personal garden!
Well done, I may come back to play this from time to time. C:
What a beautiful, and touching game. I was expecting a relaxing game about gardening, and instead got an emotional punch to the gut. The story, although sad, was absolutely beautiful - as was the art and the flower metaphors carrying the story. It reminded me of personal loss close to me. By the end, the game had me in literal tears, and that never happens to me. This is a true testiment to how great games can be at telling stories, and helping us grow as people. Thank you so much for making this, I'm very impressed. I hope to see more of you in future jams!
Thank you for sharing your experience with my game. ๐
The fact that the emotional journey took you by surprise and evoked genuine tears from you means the world to me.
I wholeheartedly believe that games have the power to tell meaningful stories and facilitate personal growth, and your feedback validates that belief. Your support and encouragement inspire me to continue creating heartfelt experiences. I'm grateful to have made such an impact. ๐ธ๐
Wishing you strength and comfort as you navigate your own personal loss. Thank you once again for taking the time to share your thoughts. Sending virtual hugs your way! ๐ธ๐
Thanks a bunch for your kind words! If you have any more feedback or if there's anything else you'd like to share, please feel free to let me know. Keep enjoying the game and have a fantastic day!๐ท๐
It is very sensible and touching, heartfelt and I also learned about some flowers:)
I would love to have a sound effect or a little animation once you click the suns! It is a powerful symbol and the fact that you accumulate suns could mean something?
All my animations are very rushed here, I ran out of time. But it was really my fault for overscoping. I would have loved to play out the story slower and add a bit more garden activities, letting the plants actually grow, gaining multiple suns throughout, having a little "sun-meter" showing you how far your healing process has come along. Giving you the ability to rearrange your flowers would have been nice to.
Wow! Just found out that game dev might be my gardening. I won't admit that I cried a little nor will I deny it.
Apart from the legibility thing which someone addressed already, the only minor criticism is that depending on where one decides to place flowers, some of them(like the Bleeding Heart) can occult others if placed at a lower row.
What a lovely game! The music, the story and the art altogether really made me tear up :) Aside from bringing a smile to my face, I was also able to learn about flowers and meanings that I had no clue of previously -snowdrops for example will now make me think back to this game and a reminder to persevere even through hard times so thank you so much <3
If I had any constructive feedback to give, I think it would have to be making the text more readable :) be it through brightening the colour of the text itself, tweaking the opacity of the background behind the text to something more opaque, or a mix of both. I also ended on hyacinth but couldn't plant it :) it would have been nice I think to end the game with planting all flowers.
Overall, what a great concept executed well through a game :) Well done! <3
You are right, readability is still an issue, should have prioritized that over staying true to my color palette ^^ Well, learned something.
When you ended on hyacinth, did you not see any planting spots or were the planting spots not working? Sometimes there is an issue, where the last planting spot is hidden behind the biggest flower of the game, but you haven't played that far.
The art is very good but it needs some contrast in some areas it looks tooo bright for now. And it's hard to see the text which is also white ( maybe needs a dark outline ).
Other than that the story is short and sweet it delves into a very hard topic and it's ok that it doesn't delve too deep in it, It's just little game after all haha.
You are right, I really should go over it and contrast some more. I tried for a limited palette bu I think I limited it a bit too much on the bright side ^^ The text actually already has a dark outline, obviously not enough.
I wish the dialogue appeared below the plants instead of over them (seems a bit busy to have everything at bottom of screen).
Other than that, lovely art and idea, somehow still weirdly inspirational to me, the story goes through a Freeze, Thaw and eventually a Spring Rebirth ^^
Also liked how the theme of each plant related to the story.
Thanks a lot, I was considering moving the textboxes higher, but then they would go over the cherry tree in the neighbors garden, and the tree is more story relevant ^^ But I bet there is a better solution to this :) Just ran out of time ^^

I'm currently making an update, so I hope you will enjoy this game even more. :)
Cried :')
Very cute game! I included it in my Cozy Spring Jam 2023 compilation video series, if youโd like to take a look!

Hope you are feeling well. It makes me happy, that I managed to touch someone with my story :)
I am well aware of the bleeding heart problem ^^ Just didn't manage to find a solution on time.
You go strong! One game at a time :)

Lovely artwork! I liked the pacing and loved the message the game conveys - very fitting for spring :)
Thanks a lot for your feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed the pacing :)
such a charming game! the story was beautiful and the art of all the flowers fit the aesthetic really well :D great job!!
Thanks a lot for your feedback :)

Love love love, really nice looking and i like the movement of the flowers how did you make it move like that??
I used DoTween in Unity, it's a free package you can install via the package manager :)
Really impressive! im starting making games, been making some prototypes but nothing so serious, really looking into Unity!
hit me up in discord, if you need some help :)
