Oh yeah, I`m loving this one so I`m going to keep building this during Golden Week until it`s completed. Working on it now as a matter of fact. Making some new artwork and actual cutscenes for it too now so will keep you posted!
Does the game work on your Windows PC if you download it? I need to check that because I don`t have windows at home. Could you let me know?
Hello everyone,
Just to let you guys know, there was a global website outage for Itch.Io today from around 12:30 JST until about 5:00 pm, so if any of you were trying to submit or update your TokiJAM entrees today and couldn`t, that`s why. :(
It looks like they finally got the issue fixed, but we lost quite a bit of time due to this, so if you`Re running a little late on your game submissions, please don`t worry because I`ll be extending the deadline for this jam until Saturday, 12pm 9/4 JST in order to compensate for the lost time.
If any of you are having additional difficulties, please drop me a line to let me know. ;)
Will start advertising and promoting your submitted games on SNS this weekend!

Hey everyone! Our 4th game, "V.i.A: The Ruins 2142 A.E.L.E." was submitted last night! Our Tokyo/Australia team spent the past few days trying to get a workable demo, however, the game is still in progress as we are still working on the initial artwork and programming!
Itch.io had a prolonged outage from around noontime today which took a few hours to fix. :( However, it`s back up and working now, so we still have about 6 hours to do some additional fixes and artwork for our project. Will be working until the last minute to make the game more fun, presentable, and improve the art style! I`ll be streaming the last of the artwork creation and bug fixing on Itch.io for the next few hours.

Hey everyone! It`s been a very hectic week, but we`ve got our first Game JAM submission for this week, "Lagarteiro"!
This cute little story-driven game was submitted by Pedro in Brazil and it looks really good so far! I especially love the colors he is using for his artwork and story! Well done on our first submission!
I will be posting the first few game submissions out on SNS and Twitter early this week, so even if your games are still WIP (which many of them should be at this time), don`t be afraid to post them up! We`re still working on our game as well.
5 more days to go with this Game JAM, so I`m really looking forward to seeing what everyone can create!
Have fun with your projects and don`t forget to stop by the community and play the submitted games! :)

* NOTE:
The original Game JAM date (8/20 ~ 8/27) has been changed to 8/20 ~ 9/3 due to the Japanese schedule for the Tokyo Olympics/Paralympics & extended school Summer Vacation schedule.
The schedule for events in Japan has been pretty random lately due to the pandemic and these sporting events, so many school activities and breaks have been shifted in favor of them. Summer break ends at the end of August here and the games/related events will be finished by September, so that should give more people time to relax, enjoy the event, and plan their games!
So basically, you`ll have 1 more week to psychologically prepare for the jam! :)
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
Thank you! The character design was all Miho`s idea. :) I really wanted to build this for WebGL though, so I`m still troubleshooting the Unity 2020/itch.io issue. at the moment. I think this will go great for mobile once it`s completed! :)
Thank you for participating in the jam and I can`t wait to play your game as well!
The game is nice but it doesn`t match our Jam theme (Fast+ Garbage) and it also wasn`t created during the one-week time limit for this Game Jam because there are already multiple versions of this game posted on your games page from 33 days ago. ;(
Unfortunately, this game will be disqualified for judging based on these factors.
- Did not follow the game theme
- Was created before the game jam (remember, no cheating).
Better luck next time, but please be sure to read and follow the game rules and submission guidelines. I will keep it on our submission page for now so that you can get some exposure for your project.

Update!
Ok, I officially have a team member now. I`m working with a cool artist in Tokyo who wants to contribute some cute art to the story!
Also, we decided to change the game`s main character, so the title has changed from "Jango`s Run" to "MiyaBee`s Run". (Hint: any guesses as to who or what the main character in this game will be)?
More updates coming soon. Only a few more days before the game submission deadline so we`ll be hard at work!
Everyone involved in the Jam is doing an amazing job so far! There should be some stiff competition for the top prize!
Developer`s Note:
This demo is just for the programming and game mechanics. There were also some issues with the WebGL Build for this game since I was trying to be any and use the latest version of Unity (Unity 2020). Chrome & WebGL don`t seem to like that version too much, so I`m going to rebuild the game in 2017, just to be safe.
Will be adding more gameplay mechanics and proper graphics soon! But I wanted to get a simple-looking game submitted for this jam already! :) More upgrades coming soon!
Since this game jam theme was announced yesterday, here are some simple ideas for you to play with! Is you can think of any more good ideas that match this theme, feel free to post them below!
* Make garbage fast - This might be something like an Endless Runner
* A piece of garbage escaping imminent disposal - Might be a mini- survival game for the garbage
* An ugly game where garbage is the hero - Zelda for a garbage hero!
* An interactive graphic novel about garbage - A good storybook for garbage that might leave the player/reader with a message!
Any other good ideas?
No problem! Actually, you may not need to shorten the leg graphics or create new graphics. If you are developing in Unity, you may just need to adjust the Box/Circle Collider2D that you are using to shrink it. That way you won`t need to change the graphic and collision can just take place around the main body.
Good luck!
Hey! I just played this for about 5 minutes but I keep dying because I suck... I`ve only made it through the first 2 pipes like 1 time.
I like the colors and the simplicity of the game! It`s cute!
But I think the game would actually be a bit more fun without the legs at the bottom of the character. Also, I would recommend adding a few instructions to the screen as well as a bit of space between the player and the first few obstacles on the level in order to let the player get used to the controls. ;)
I hate losing so I`m going to keep playing this for a bit. The sound effects are cute. Hahaha!
