Big DevOps Moment 10/10

Yeah the camera was annoying to setup, I'm continuing the game and I fixed the spikes and the camera, I'll release a post jam version soon which will be focused on stealth, probably in a month or 2

Thanks for playing :)

Thanks a lot!

Thanks!

Thanks for playing!
Also posted a walk-through myself if you want to check that out for the full game

Thanks!

Thanks for your feedback

Well done on finishing the game! thanks :)

Yeah these sprites are terrible... thanks for playing!

Thanks a lot! so happy to hear that :)

Yeah we should definitely add checkpoints and improve spikes, thanks for playing!

Sorry for the spikes! thanks for playing

Thanks!

Sorry that you had no fun, I hope checkpoints and better camera and visible spikes would help after we update the game, unfortunately we had no time to work on that during the jam
Maybe give this game a shot after the update if you can, and perhaps we could change your mind :)

Thanks a lot! makes my day better :)

Yup I'm a terrible artist I'll never draw spikes again, thanks for playing :)

Yeah, I was mainly focusing on the main soundtrack that I had no time to make SFX, there are a few but definitely not enough, sorry for that!

Thanks!

Thanks a lot!

Hey, well done! thanks for playing :)

Sorry you felt this way, the game could definitely be better but you have to remember the time constraint that we had to work with (which for us was barely 2 days, not 7)
There were a few SFX, although did get overshadowed by music, which is why I thought to not worry about that too much, that and the juice that you mentioned, I guess more animations and effects would help
It's not that we forgot, just wanted to get the soundtrack, basic mechanics and the background artwork right before the rest, which in itself was not perfect either with the camera not following and the spikes problem
Storytelling was not really the main of our focus so it's probably not the best
Checkpoints I regret not spending more time on since this and the spikes would probably make the game a lot more enjoyable, it was a last second thing that I could not finish (because duplication made it 10x more difficult)
Thanks for your feedback, I really hope that after the jam ends you'll play the game after it gets updated, with all of the problems you and many other mentioned getting fixed!

Cool entry, great concept, cool use of the good ol' memory game we all used to play

A cool survival concept, a bit rough around the edges but very promising

A very nice visual novel with a very cool sound design!

I think you pasted the wrong link

I honestly thought this was really creative and cool, never seen that in jams so thought to mention it
Also haven't said it before but yeah the game is definitely polished and very enjoyable, story wise and narrative wise, and with all of the mini games, well done!

This is hands down the best game I've played this jam, the visuals are stunning, the atmosphere feels very good and it's just such a polished puzzle game
The idea of having this weird language to flip and twist this sprite is so nice, and it plays so well with the doors of having to pick one
Hearts definitely added a bit of risk but allowed me to actually understand the game with trial and error
The only bug I found is the pages stacking up when you spam click them, but it's just a matter of closing everything you opened afterwards
And in general it would benefit maybe making a tutorial
See you ending up in top 5

The 3D effect is so cool, and in general the game has a lot of stuff going for it inside the paint art that in my opinion just fits the vibe of this
The gameplay itself lacks a bit, I feel like you could've done a lot with a tower defense game but the main game is where you collect the "soldiers" and get to different platforms
Although the way you interact with stuff in the game, including the settings page, is so creative, more games should do this

Yeah this is so much fun, cool trivia game but it's not really related to doors is it?

That's such a charming and cute game, essentially every door hides someone else
Well done on getting the art music and feel to be right, it feels just like gameboy on a pc

That's a nice take on the theme, a classic Stanley Parable like game with a nice narrative and very unique mechanic
Really liked the duplicating rooms, this is really well done, especially with how the objects stay on the same place and the thing you're looking for is what's different
I'm stuck on the last level and the objects do glitch for me at times, so control wise it's a bit finicky but with this mechanic for a game jam I can't complain. well done!

(1 edit)

Looks a lot like the old DOOM games, also sounds a lot like them, combat feels really nice and the sword mechanic works really well, well done!

That's a cool old arcade game!

A very relaxing game, that has a very simple premise of clicking targets and relaxing
Art and music are really good, I feel like you should've added some more mechanics from other relaxing games like mini metro, where you have decisions to make of where to place the train, so in this case which target to click

That's a very cool basic platformer that adds some cool new twists to it
I think the doors changing health are really cool
Definitely is shown that you've added a lot of mechanics as you go on through the game like combat and multiple door selections
I feel like you should've focused on just the platforming bit to perfect it so it feels better
Nice game!

This really feels like a modern Nintendo DS game, the art music and gameplay really shows you've taken a lot of inspiration from old arcade games, really nice!

An actual claymation in a video game with a funny dinosaur narrative, this is why I do gamejams

Great game tho, had a lot of fun!

That part of controlling multiple characters was a rough one to get right, glad you enjoyed it! sorry with the spikes and thanks for the feedback :)
