Hi,

I am a solo amateur developer looking for a pixel art artist for my next project. You can see my previous games in my profile.

The game will be released for free, the goal is not to make money and become famous, I just make weird little games for fun. I cannot pay, all I can offer is to credit you in the game.

My new project is a little casual tycoon game where the player is the head of a book publishing company. Every week in game he gets a list of potential manuscripts to publish. He has to negotiate with the authors to get the rights (the authors will negotiate royalties and advance). Once signed, the player has to decide how many copies to print and what marketing budget to allocate. The game then calculates the sales based on the script quality, author reputation and marketing budget.

And that’s pretty much the all gameplay loop. Negotiate the rights for books/print/sell rince and repeat.

The game will be pretty simple, something like a mix of game dev tycoon and dealer’s life (for the negotiation aspect).

So I am looking for an artist to design the UI and make the graphics for the game. I am open to suggestions and ideas for what the game should look like.

If you are interested, please contact me here or by private message and include a link to your portfolio so I can see if you would be a good match for the project.

Cheers!

hey, the game is really not scary to be honest, it’s more a puzzle game with a story.

No jump scare, gore or anything like that so you should be fine even if you don’t like horror :)

Thanks for the detailed feedback.

Yea seems like a lot of people struggle with how unintuitive some of the puzzles are. I tried to adress that in the latest update, but it could probably still be improved

Wryoak by D40route (itch.io)

wryoak is a little interactive fiction game with puzzles and horror elements.

I am looking for feedback on the gameplay and the puzzles (can you figure out where to go and what to do, how to solve the puzzles etc..)

thanks!

thank you, that helps a lot.

I have to redesign the all UI system, lots of people have issues with it.

It’s going to take me a little longer than the quick patch I just did but I’ll release an update soon that should fix that and a lot of other things.

Thank you for your feedback. I just fixed that bug and released an update.

Link to the game: Wryoak by D40route (itch.io)

The game is a little walking simulator/puzzle game with some horror elements.

Your girlfriend mysteriously disappears during a scientific expedition in Alaska. Determined to find her, you go to Wryoak Island. You'll have to investigate to find out what happened to the team and discover the island's past.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

thanks! Yea the game is still a work in progress and can use some polishing for sure.

Glad you had a good time playing it.

thanks for taking the time to try out the game.

Looks like I have a lot of UI problems to fix :)

Hi!

First of all here’s the link to the game:

https://d40route.itch.io/noir-fold

the game is a card game inspired by noir movies.

The player is a detective that has to get a murder suspect to confess.

You have to play your cards right to gain the suspect’s trust, and maintain his stress and fatigue levels low.

I am looking for feedback on the gameplay mostly.

What do you think works well in the game, what doesn’t work, how could it be improved and what do you think of the gameplay in general.

please don’t hesitate to be brutaly honest.

thanks!

I just finished a small card game that is available for free at this adress:

The game is a card game where the player is a detective that has to get a murder suspect to confess.
You’ll have to play your cards right to get the suspect to trust you enough to start talking while also keeping his stress and fatigue low.

I would be curious to hear your feedback.

Thanks!
