Nah I'm using pygame and python! But thanks anyway!

It's also my first game jam! Reading this really boosted my confidence, just wondering if a 2d platformer with a scrolling camera is too ambitious for this game jam. I think a bullet-hell platformer would fit the theme of Overload really well but it might take too much time. I'm using pygame and python, not sure what you will be using but any advice? Thank you in advance?

It's my first game jam! Not sure if I am gonna see it through,  I have an idea of a 2d bullet-hell platformer game but it might take way too much time.

I meant programming language, and engines I guess.

Same I'm going with python and pygame! I hope the limitation won't be too hard.

What language are you guys gonna use for the jam? I guess the majority will be using Unity but for those who aren't.

This is also my first game jam! I don't have high expectations for my game, so I am aiming to make something small and not go too ambitious! I'm thinking of a bullet hell platformer to go with the theme Overload but that might take too much time. Good luck!

Number one - I'm 90% certain that is against the rules. But it is not like anyone can know for sure if you started making the game beforehand. Just don't. Don't.  The whole point of a game jam is that you have a limited amount of time, if you have problem with making the game within the time, it is probably best you switch to a game jam with a longer time limit.

Nah it's fine! Not a problem, the game looks fantastic - well done.

Hello,  just wondering - will this work on mac? I'm not sure how I get it to run on mac once I have downloaded it as macs can't run exe files.

Looks interesting and I want to test it out!
