I'm on my way to finishing my entry, Lily Adventuresses! Episode 1, but I need the help of a 2D artist specializing in the anime style. They will work on the key visual and the six character visuals for promotional materials.

Interested peeps can either reply here or DM me on Discord (moonlightbomber).

Beat it in just 13 hours. And I'm glad I've got a taste of a fine game from the German RPG Maker community.

Used some of your songs in my game, Project Missionary.

I used your sprite for my game.

I wish you would implement arcade-like inputs with a controller or even an arcade stick in a possible next update. But otherwise, nice job.

As requested, here's version 1.1, which is hopefully the final definitive version.

Regarding V and the villain Severus, the upcoming update will also feature two extra stories that will be unlocked once you complete the game.

OK, I'll address your concerns one by one.

Re: More choices: I've written this to be a kinetic novel all along. I put in those choices to appease the "more choices =  better" crowd.

Re: More romantic sequences: Hmm... due to the time limits, I didn't emphasize those sequences to show how lovey-dovey the couple are. I may have to address that in the next update, which will be released next month.

Re: The ending: Yeah, I admit it's an abrupt twist. I may have to address this too in the next update.

Re: BGM and SFX: They're already credited in the in-game credits sequence, so that's that.

To think that this game relies on the recoil mechanic makes it more challenging than it already is.

Hello. I've used your sprites for my game, Occhiolism.

Thanks for the comment. As someone who grew up with anime, I believe it's my obligation to make Mika an endearing character, since covering just the day of the incident would remove the story's emotional quotient.

Furthermore, it's my obligation as a 90s Filipino kid to tell the rest of the world what life was like back then. If A Space for the Unbound (made by Indonesians) did it, why shouldn't I?

I've finally released my game, but it will still receive updates, as the artists and Spanish translator who volunteered are still working.

Alright, if the need arises during the GGJ.

Of course. I plan to complete it at the Global Game Jam.

Hello. I have used your sprites for my VN, Bittersweet Harvest. Your efforts are now no longer put to waste.

Thank you!

I've just put up a page for my game.

And even though I've finished writing the story in just the first week of this month, I've had great difficulty finding an artist, so I had to make do with what I originally had.

My NaNoRenO 2020 project, The Classiest Act, as of this post, has its story, backgrounds, and base UI finished; and I've already recruited an editor and musician.

I am in dire need for an artist who can handle the character art, sprites, and event CGs. Must be comfortable with GxG/GL (don't worry; the game will be all-ages) and must work pro bono. In exchange, I will offer my writing services for the next project the artist will be involved in, as an incentive.

Story
A college girl, Trisha May Lucerne, longs for romantic company to repair the lack of colors in her life. The thing is, the hookup culture in the college she studies in is a rough-and-tumble one, and she fails to snag the company she likes. Things then take an interesting turn when a teacher she works as an assistant for, Mary Teresa Salgadowsky, falls for her; and she also has her own emotional baggage that needs to be repaired, too.

The game is now up! Do beware that many of the art assets are in an incomplete state, and one BGM which was supposed to be delivered didn't meet the deadline. Hence, an enhanced version with the currently-missing content will be in the horizon in the near future.

Update for October 28, 2017 (ESGS 2017 aftermath)

This was my third time at the E-Sports and Gaming Summit, and it was also the third time there as an exhibitor.

I volunteered to exhibit Sunday at the Memories at the IGDA Manila booth on day 1 only, as agreed upon (there were limited slots per day, so I jumped in early).

And despite having a spartan setup, I've had a good time exhibiting the VN (a specially-made demo version) to the public. Those who played it mostly commented how the backgrounds are processed from photos, which is true (most of the BGs are photos I've taken myself; others were taken from royalty-free photo depositories). One even pointed out my college alma mater as a setting for a certain scene!

As for ESGS 2017 itself? It's as awesome as ever. I've got tons of freebies from fellow Filipino game developers (indicated in the photo below), bought a USB charger for my still-broken Game Boy Advance SP, and realized how much I sucked at Dissidia Final Fantasy NT due to the number of years since I've last played the PSP Dissidia Final Fantasy games. Not to mention the free Mountain Dew being peddled to thirsty con-goers (and I took home some bottles).

Now to polish and finish the entire game before the November 1 deadline...

Update for the week of October 26, 2017 (ESGS 2017 pre-flight)

Alright, I've got a demo version ready for a local gaming convention, the E-Sports and Gaming Summit.

To fellow Filipinos, you can visit my exhibit at the IGDA Manila booth on Friday (October 27).

Here's a preview of the exhibit display, which shows the finalized designs for the leads, Jacqueline (left) and Rayzelle Anne (right).

Extra update

Thanks to a little character generator called Bebinator, I now have a concept of the full-body forms of Jacq and Rayz. The third pic is an unrelated one, specifically a rendition of Kotori Habane from If My Heart Had Wings (a VN I'm currently into).

Update for the week of October 1, 2017

As expected, I've already coded the entire story. The only things missing are the character sprites, event CGs, the credits sequence, and a potential extras mode containing author's notes.

Basically, for the majority of the month of October, I will be doing sporadic updates until the prospective artist has already delivered the goods. And if ever something goes wrong, there's always compromising. The final product for this Jam won't be the final version, anyway.

Here it goes. The second build. https://www.dropbox.com/s/wd7iboyvjzqnuvp/SundayAtTheMemories-build0.2-all.zip?d...

Update for the week of September 24, 2017

I've finally got the script critiqued and revised, and I also acquired the necessary photo backgrounds I will use. As for the music, I have approached two musicians, Alec Shea of Sonancy Designs and TyberAlyx, to have some of their music used for the game. And they did give me some select pieces.

For those who are curious about what the two main characters, Jacqueline and Rayzelle Anne, will look like, here's some concept art done by elliskim (timefiddler on Discord).

And here it is. The very first rough build of the game, which covers the first of the story's two acts. Note that the transitions are rough, and there are no sprites or event CGs yet (though I have a prospective artist on board now).

Hello there. This is my first time at the Yuri Game Jam, but I'm no stranger to game jams in general, being a Global Game Jam and Ludum Dare veteran since 2014. So here it is: my first ever Yuri Jam entry.

Title: Sunday at the Memories ~The Girl at the Fountain~
Genre: Visual novel (linear)
Engine: Ren'Py
Rating: All-ages (bordering on the ESRB T rating for some suggestive scenes)
Brief synopsis: Set in the present-day Philippines. A girl who loves listening to old songs on the radio every Sunday morning reminisces of her lost love. And then...

What I've been up to since the beginning of the jam

Barring occasional internet connection hiccups, I've been able to complete the story and customize the default UI.

The expected word count will be less than 7,000 words, but will be balanced out by lots of event CGs.

Here are some screenshots of my WIP:

What am I up to as of this writing

I've been waiting for critiques to the story that will lead to revisions. In the meantime, I'm creating a pitch to better recruit an artist and composer for this VN. I'm also acquiring backgrounds to be used, in the form of photographs I have taken and will take myself (except for some royalty-free ones).
