Yeah I had trouble getting the time scaling lined up correctly.  I even tried creating a bot that would create a time graph but seeing the issue turned out to only be half the battle of fixing it.


As for it being lacking, I kind of intended on that.  This was definitely always meant as a prototype, and I purposely kept it short to keep people from sinking too much time in something that was never going to anywhere meaningful.  This game was mostly intended as a short diversion from my other games.  I only meant to work on it for a couple of weeks but ended up taking me about a month.

What resolution screen are you looking at it from?  I didn't spend too much time playing around with different screen resolutions.

Can you explain how heat spreads?  It is not obvious.  For example it appears that more heat goes left vs right when you do long chain layouts.  And it almost appears that when one heat pipe has too much heat it automatically sends heat elsewhere, but I can't tell how much/what triggers.  Sometimes I'll get the heat build up to a certain point and then spread out properly, and other times it will just all go one route and then explode everything :/

The Tornado is still there, but locked behind an achievement.  You get get it after playing Apollo for 5 minutes (who is in turn unlocked by leveling a Dagger up to level 4).

And yeah that is good feedback. I will look into alternatively just having background stuff to orient yourself on the map or adding a better way to get unstuck from behind a wave of enemies (or maybe both).  For the next version I'm just putting it behind an option so you can turn if off while I look into alternatives.

Circle of pain is optional, so I'm not sure why I would remove that.  What is it about the older version you liked more?  Do you just not like dodging the obstacles?  I could probably just add that as an option.  I felt like it added more to the game to have stuff you need to move around, but if people don't find it interesting it also doesn't need to be there.

This looks like it is supposed to have a lot of the tools provided by PixelFXDesigner before.  Is this compatible with the files from either version of the old tool?  Or there any examples files you have for similar effects that PixelFXDesigner provided out of the box?

Thanks for the feedback. I will definitely be working on scaling the difficulty up for the next update! I agree it is a bit too easy right now.

This looks very interesting to me.  Let us know when we can try it out for ourselves!
