Thank you for the feedback! That is an interesting idea I would have to look into (having different audio ques for correct and incorrect items). Most of the audio was a last minute add in, but I am glad that most poeple enjoyed it. There is a "How to play button" that kind of explain what the powerup does, but It was written very badly so I can understand why you would have had problems understanding what the powerup does. So the evey time you collect an item an integer gets +1 to it, depending on how big that integer is when you arrive at the checkout you will have to wait for that integer/2 = waiting seconds. When you use "Talk to manager" that integer is set to 0 so even if you collected 50 items and you use the powerup you will not have to wait at the checkout. Hope that was a bit better to understand. Again thanks for the feedback!

Hmm.. interesting, will make sure to check it out once I have more time, thanks!

Thanks you for your feedback. Yes probably more images of the game, better thumbnail and having the game run in the browser would bring in more player (or atleast those are some of the things I've noticed as well). I will keep that in mind for future game jams, thanks for the advice!

Thank you for your feedback! I have never stumbled upon that bug.Hmm.. could you give me other details of what happened to lead to that bug? Was it a specific shopping list or...? If you can't remember that's fine, thank you for trying out my game!

Thank you for your feedback, that is a pretty nice idea. When I finish my exams and start working on the game again I will be sure to add your idea in, thanks!

Good job, I was hoping atleast one person would beat the game :D.

The sound effects were picked kind of rushed and I am not that happy with some of them, but I feel good that atleast you enjoyed them. I could have added more that give people feedback when certain things happen (as per other comments suggestions), so I might come back to this game and rework it when I have free time. The shopping lists were initially going to be fully random, but had to be made into 3 different ones that would get picked randomly for the sake of time (and cuz I might have had a few problems of figuring out the code). The wording of that how to play could have been a lot better aswell but for all in all I think it gives the players atleast some kind of an idea of how to play. I appreciate your feedback, thank you!

Thank you for your comment. Yeah by the time I got to UI and sound effects to give feedback to the player, I had ran out of time... I had other idea for changing the character and adding people that can bump into you to slow you down, but time was not on my side here. When I have free time I will try and rework this game a bit so I will have it on my itch page as a "what it could have been". But indeed a HUD that shows what you have collected should have been one of my primary focuses. Thanks for the feedback!

Thank you for your comment. Yeah I think I focused on the wrong parts when making this project. I tried making the shop look/feel good instead of focusing more on the UI/giving feedback to the player when things happen. I wanted to do some help on them, but by the time I finished my initially set goals I found myself with little time for change and decided to post what I currently have. Even thought my game lacked feedback, I thank you for yours :D

(1 edit)

Nice game. I like to try and figure out what you have to do on your own and tried to survive for as long as possible in the beginning, but that spawned too much objects and game started to freeze. Then, I read the instructions and saw that you have to infect them not try and stay away from them . But that is just my fault, the game is awesome.

Haha, I like the music in the background.  Had fun, making Nina flip to match the beat.

Nice idea for the game, I like that you had time to add sounds and particles. Well managed time, well done.

And I'm not sure what you mean by source, could you please explain?

I don't know how to build for Linux or  web yet, but I will try and learn how to for other games I make. Didn't know people would actually want a Linux version.

I really  like the idea and I had fun playing. One small thing I found is that you could spam the mouse button and let them sit in place and  survive for a long period :D, but  other than that good job on the 3 hour game.

Don't know if anyone noticed, but I liked the small detail that if you drop for too long you end up burning and dying.

Nice idea, it reminds me of flappy bird in first person, but the collision detection might be a bit off, sometimes it looks like I'm about to pass through but end up hitting a wall.
