If this was all caused by drinking alcohol, then I will NEVER drink alcohol again in my entire life!

Now, jokes aside, I personally didn't like this game that much.
And, at this point, I am also starting to realize that 'Bored Leviathan' games might not be my cup of tea.

I'm not saying that these games are "bad," and I know that the developer put a lot of work into them. But I feel like they don't live up to my expectations of what I like in a horror game.

It's average.

Eh... It's like a 3 out 5.

Not bad, but not great either.

While this is not Bored Leviathan's best game, it is certainly much better than the first Mannequin House game.

I think that this is my least favorite game of Bored Leviathan so far.

This was a big improvement over your first game.
Congratulations!

It's not a "must-play," but this was the very first game made by this developer and it's not a bad game by any means.

Everything was basically going fine until that annoying floating face monster.
I tried multiple times but ended up quitting the game.

It was a pretty decent game, but one thing that I really didn't like were the random jump scares.

It's a fun short horror game, but it doesn't have much replay value and I was left expecting a bit more.
I think that having a deeper story would have been better.

Ok, I'll keep that in mind.
And I might change the review later.

Sorry, but this felt like a mess.
I cannot enjoy a game that I don't even understand.
I really don't get the instructions at all.
And the worst thing is that everything goes dark instantly and there is no flashlight as far as I know.
To make things even worse, there's not even a single walkthrough of this game on YouTube.

Well, I ended up uninstalling it.

I would have liked this game if it wasn't for that annoying countdown that you always have.

It's average.
The biggest downside is just how glitchy everything feels.

I love how the game closes itself after both endings.
It truly feels like a dream.

The only reason why I'm not rating this 5 out 5 is because I was left expecting more.
But I really liked this weird project.

Sorry, but I don't like it.
The enemies are way too annoying to kill, and there are other issues, like not having the option to play at 60fps.
I ended up uninstalling it.

The PSX graphics were awesome though.

I freaking love it!

I really liked it.
Short but fun.

5/5

I LOVE THIS GAME!!! 5 out of 5.
No, 6 out of 5.
The best game ever! GOTY 2024!!!! 🏆

Ohhh, thanks!
I didn't even know that I could look around.
I feel so dumb now :(

I will edit my review. LOL

I couldn't even finish the game because I ended up in some weird black screen.

Simply awful.
I would rather play the real one.

Sorry, but this game is just... a mess.
It's the worst Fears to Fathom-like game I have played.
Which leads me to an interesting question: Why are you trying to make the game like a complete clone of Fears to Fathom but at the same time you're not following the FTF type of story?
I mean, why not make a completely different thing instead of trying to be a FTF knockoff?

And I'm not saying it as an insult, because you definitely have potential.
But why not create your own thing with your own style and let Fears to Fathom be Fears to Fathom?
Because remember this: Fears to Fathom became an awesome franchise because of how fresh and original it felt.
And there is nothing wrong with taking inspiration from another game, but if you're constantly trying to copy something, then it will end up feeling cheap and will give the impression that you don't have any good ideas of your own.

Es un juego tierno y relajante, pero el movimiento de la camara necesita ser actualizado.

WOW, I just love this game so much.
It is as good as Fears to Fathom, and even better in some respects.
The moments of suspense were really well done.

5/5

Yeah, I want to give a 5/5 review of the actual game. I know that you can!
And sorry if I sounded a bit too harsh in my original reply because, to be honest, I was having a bad week.
I know this might sound stupid, but my mood and wellbeing can affect how much I enjoy a game or a movie.
In fact, on second thought, I actually changed that rating to 4/5 now.

I didn't know that you were a new developer and you seem very kind, I also want to be a game developer so I should be more tolerant with other people's mistakes (you already know more than I do, anyway).

I really hope that you find great success with this game and I'm looking forward to playing it.
Good luck!

I really tried to love this game, and to be honest, the story looks interesting and the pixelated style is cool.
But it's way too slow and you can't skip any dialogue.
I almost gave up at the part where I had to block the door from the creepy guy.
I was constantly getting killed because I couldn't find how to block the damn door, especially considering how dark everything looked.

But that's not the worst part...
The WORST part is that I had to spend more than 3 and a half minutes just to get to the point I was. That is simply ridiculous.
So, I ended up looking for a YouTube playthrough to see what I had to do.
I shouldn't have to do this for any game.

But to be fair, there IS a lot of potential here.

It's pretty good!
The only thing I didn't like so much was the "hold your breath" while hiding mechanic.

sorry, but I honestly hated it.
visually speaking, it looks uncomfortable (and not in a good sense).
and I couldn't even finish the game because I got stuck at one point without knowing that the hell i was supposed to look for.

i THINK THAT THIS IS YOUR BEST GAME SO FAR.

Nah, not my cup of tea.

It's ok, but I was expecting a bit more.

Well, I have mixed feelings.
In terms of gameplay, this game was fun at the beginning, okay in the middle, and monotonous by the end. The PSX visuals are nice to look at but there's not much more in terms of entertainment.
I wouldn't say that it was either good or bad. It was certainly interesting but it wasn't scary... until the end.

I'm gonna be honest, the ending of the game felt disturbing with that scary music that starts when God is about to come.
I actually liked how we never get to see who or what is "God" in this game, and it's certainly not a benevolent thing, whatever it is.
The fact that we never see "God" after we hear that creepy music made the ending stand out for me.

I'll give this one 3/5

The game is kind of creepy but it has a serious programing issue that didn't allow me to finish it.
I was at the part where I had to enter the code, but I wasn't sure about the numbers so I tried to go back to the underground place to check it up...

But the game does NOT allow you to go back down there.
Well, I had no other option than to exit the game and watch the ending on a YouTube video.

2 out of 5 for this one.

I don't know what happened but the story text didn't appear when I was playing, and I also had to force quit the game at the end.

Nah, I'm not saying that you're wrong by any means, pal. And I also understand what you said.
Most developers use shaders and effects to emulate the PSX look, regardless of how the original models look.
I'm not an expert, but I also have some PSX and retro effects that I have bought, and they can make anything look pixelated, even if it was originally high res.
However, if the polygon count is too high, then you will still notice it, even if it's pixelated.
But that's ok to certain degree, because not every PSX style game needs to be 100% faithful to how the games actually looked and played back then.
If we really wanted to make a game that was completely like the original PlayStation, then we wouldn't even have a mouse, let alone 4k, widescreen, and 60fps.

It's cool, but it doesn't really look like it belongs to the PS1 era to be honest. This reminds me more of the PS2 or even some PS3 assets.
