Hi, unfortunately we haven't secured the necessary funds for continued development on Renestra. In light of that, we've paused our Patreon billing cycle and kept the product free to download on itch while we continue our work on other projects. We'll most likely come back to Renestra sometime in the future, once we have the necessary stability. Until then, you can treat this as a free Demo.

Hello! For now we do not plan on adding the option of playing as a female, as other systems and content are of higher priority. Further down the line we may consider adding a female main character as an option if there are requests and time/funds allow it. It's not something trivial to implement as it would require another set of voice acting lines and considerable amount of animations. We'll keep it in mind for sure.
Thank you for your interest in our game! You can find our patreon at this link Renestra Patreon. Current activity is limited as we're preparing on launching the next update soon.
Hi and thank you for the question. We we've been meaning to tackle the question of update cadence for some time.
We have been working through a lot of technical issues for the next update. The main reason for this is that we started transitioning to Unreal 5.1 aproximatively a week after the current game version launch (which is on UE 5.0.3 which is less stable and a bit buggy).
Some of the plugins we are using haven't been upgraded to 5.1 yet so we've been working around those issues. The work is mostly done for the engine upgrade, and we started working on adding actual new content and fixing current in-game issues for a month or so.
Lastly, while this is our passion project, we still have to make ends meet and so, until we can get stable funding for Renestra, update cycles will be a bit erratic at times.
We believe that after this big update we are working on, the next updates should be a lot faster. This is mainly because we do not plan on upgrading Renestra from UE 5.1 as it is stable enough and less buggy than the previous version. All forthcoming updates after this one should strictly be small bug-fixes, gameplay improvements and mainly content drops.
Sorry for the long post and thank you for checking out our game!
Content is quite limited for the first version as we've worked hard to implement all the necessary systems in the back to push out content faster in future version. You can talk to the npc again for some extra dialogue/scenes but that's about it for now, expect more play time in the next update.
Thank you for checking out our game!
Thank you for your interest Xander. For the moment max settings are quite demanding, something we hope to alleviate in the future. You can fiddle with the Resolution Scale slider as it's unreals version of DLSS if you want a tad more FPS, shouldn't degrade visual quality until 70 or so.
We've noted your feedback, we'll seek to improve movement.
Cheers!
Thank you for taking the time to check out our game. The attacks are currently placeholders meant to help test the combat system we put in place in the back end.
We aim for a combination of dark souls and devil may cry combat style, a hybrid of sorts. Our system allows for animation cancelling so far, those animations are a poor choice for it for now because they are too long. Combat improvement among extra content is planned for the next update.
Cheers!
