The fishdex is a nice addition, it adds a reason aside score to try again.  Cute game and well done 🎣

The player being a clownfish is very appealing to me, idk I just like that a clownfish has a pet shark.  A creative concept.  The game was fun and getting the shark to eat the other enemies felt rewarding 🦈

I had a very good time with this one!  I agree with some of the suggestions below about the UI, but atmosphere was great and after getting familiar with the game I got quite focused in on playing.

Looks awesome and very fun to play!  It was cool to get more than one fish on the hook, and the day/night concept is one I find very cool!

Really cute and fun game!  I did run into a few problems with sprites remaining on screen and a blank(?) ending.  The very end was a grey screen.  Still very much enjoyed the game tho.

I like the idea, and the story bit at the intro!  Haven't played a game like this for the jam yet either so very cool! 

Enjoyed the concept and talking to all the characters.  The snail and turtle are some of my favorites.  Fun and rewarding game overall!

One of the more unique fish I've seen so far, and all the powers were fun to mess with.  This is a great game!

Fun to play for different endings, as well as seeing the fish react!  I like how wrong answers affect the fish you're talking to.  The flexability for how to catch numbers is also nice especially after playing a few times.

Very fun game, ended up playing for quite a while!  Just to add in, you might want to clarify which shift key to use since only one works in game.  I was using the wrong one at first.  Other than that, the game's solid and very cute.

Tried very hard to educate the fish, but in the end I can't.  Left me no choice other than to eat it (◡_◡).    I had a good time with the game tho and it was cool to see the responses.

Very f(i)sh, really cool idea!  I wasn't entierly sure what to do at the start, but I think I got the idea pretty quick.   First death gave me a real scare.  Good work and a good game!

Totally agree with the shortness.  The original plot was quite a bit longer, I just didn't take enough time to implement it.  Thank you for playing and the feedback!  I'll keep it in mind as I work on the game after the jam.
