I had a very good time with this one! I agree with some of the suggestions below about the UI, but atmosphere was great and after getting familiar with the game I got quite focused in on playing.

The aesthetic and mood of the game are impressive! The strategy is quite interesting too and would make for a nice game if given something like levels or challenges. Liked it a lot!
it was a little confusing at the beginning but a fun game when you get familiar with it. it would be awesome if we can get more pieces the longer the game goes on. Awesome game.
Very interesting strategy game! It took a little bit to get the hang of it and realize that I could move each piece multiple times if I wanted (i was by default thinking 1 move per unit). Very cool layers of strategy with the different piece limitations. The atmosphere from the audio was really great. Felt super ominous and dark, foreboding from these invaders from above. I love the background, the graphical style, and how the board appears, but I think the units could have a bit more distinction. The enemy 'humans' looked more like mines to me. I like the block low-poly look but i think slightly different silhouettes or color accents could help a lot with readability.
More technical feedback: I had a bit of trouble with clicks not registering my move sometimes, or accidental misclicks when I wanted to select a different unit instead of the currently selected one. There also seemed to be a slight discrepancy between clicking a unit vs. clicking the TILE itself which also gave me a bit of user error depending on the camera angle. (mostly from the chains obscuring my view).
It was also a little unclear if the humans would always attack on sight, or if they were going for the 'Opisthoteuthis' piece only. There were a bunch of phases that they were ignoring everything, then all of a sudden, one turn they decided to attack my Angler and I was pretty much doomed after that. I wonder how this would feel with a undo button to fix misclicks and be able to maximize your effects. Because from the few misclicks where I put my sniper one tile out of range, I messed up my chances of getting further.
Overall, fantastic game with a lot of interesting layers of strategy! The fish + sniper combo was pretty cool to utilize. Really fun with tons of room for expansion!! Great work!
I love myself a strategy game that is equal parts simple and tricky. This also has a nice vibe, and I think the simple, blocky designs give an almost board game feel that I personally dig quite a bit.
Would definitely benefit from a tutorial. I was super confused at first, even having read the instructions on the page. I found that sometimes I was clicking a space instead of clicking the fish that I wanted to move, which was a bit annoying and added to my confusion. As others have said though, once you get through the initial learning curve, it really is quite fun! The fish that switches places with the humans proved to be an especially interesting mechanic.
I could see this being fleshed out a bit into something really top notch. Great work!
The general concept and vibes are great. Gives an Inscryption-esque aesthetic. The sound design does a lot of lifting in the look and feel. A little tutorializing or UI explanation would be helpful, but once I go how the game worked it was very engaging to play.
A really interesting tactical strategy game with a chill sea-themed vibe! As others have mentioned, better tutorialing and UI would go a long way towards helping the player understand how to play. And more variety of enemy types would always be welcome. But this is such a unique entry that it makes up for those small quibbles. Great work!
Creative strategy game, but could be improved more on the explanation and UI part. After figure it out a bit and understand the system, it's quite fun. Currently it doesn't have an endgame or a score system yet so it kinda under rewarding when play. Nonetheless, the game is promising!
The game is not bad, I enjoyed the first few rounds, and had fun learning what everything was, and did. Compliments out of the way, here is my attempt at constructive criticism:
It may have been the time restraint, but it feels unfinished. The balancing of the game is also not that good. The angler is by far the strongest piece, and I found myself using it the whole time.
It was unique and fun for the first few "rounds" of fishermen coming down, but after a while it is just the same, with maybe one more than last round. I was stuck on the first round of fishermen for a solid minute, trying to figure out where the turn numbers were that you explained in the description until I noticed it in the background. The idea is there, and the concept is decent, however, most of it feels empty. While it was fun for me to test moves and see what each piece was and what each action did, I could see how this may be frustrating to some players. The use of a and d to move the screen around was a good touch, however, correct me if I'm wrong, felt like a fix to not being able to click on fish through the anchors.
All harsh things aside, no offense, keep up the good work.
Lots of creativity, and it's super fun strategizing how to survive as long as possible!
A preeeetty steep learning curve, and could probably do with a proper tutorial, but once you figure it out, the game is addicting!
