Thanks for playing! I appreciate the feedback. The intended ghost AI is that upon seeing you in the same room and that you are within a certain range, it will start chasing you for 10 seconds before leaving. Using the violet flashlight would slow the ghosts speed by 60% and leave after 3 seconds instead of 10. The ghost's sprite would be changed to a darker version to indicate that it's patrolling the rooms, while it's white variant would indicate that it's chasing you. The only problem is that it glitches out about like10% of the time and I didn't have enough time to figure out why ahaha. I'm so sorry that bugged out for you! I'll definitely try to fix it after the jam ends, thanks again for playing :)

Really good concept and very well executed! The atmosphere was done well, the graphics and audio just drive it further. I really had a lot of fun with the mechanics, it reminded me of Five Nights at Freddy's mixed with I'm on Observation Duty. I'm quite surprised that there aren't many ratings on this, I thought you did a fantastic job!
My game, Doorway Dynamo, is centered around puzzles with a hint of horror survival mechanics :)

Loved the message that the game was trying to send, the different stories behind each character really gave the game more depth. Unfortunately I did run into a few issues, like what the others have said, it was pretty easy to lose the correct items by either having a full inventory and having to throw it away or having the room disappear with items still in them. Personally, the rooms felt a bit too far apart but that might've been intentional. The pixel graphics were nice and the music choice was a nice touch. Overall, you did a great job, well done! :)
Love the concept! Definitely has some potential to be further developed into a full game. I did run into a few issues, like I'm not sure how to make the killer go away or determine if the person behind the door is actually the killer. For one of my runs, the plumber wasn't seen yet but the first plumber turned out to be the killer, not sure if that was intentional or not or if there's something I'm missing that I can do to check for the actual plumber. Overall, it was really nice game with great visuals and audio. Well done! :)
I liked the idea of the game, however it's pretty much completely RNG based, some suggestions would be using your money to gain an advantage like being able to get a glimpse of what's behind each door. Maybe items would be good too, like buying armor or health to protect yourself from getting damaged; that way you have to think about whether or not you want to focus on getting the highest amount of money possible by nothing buying anything or focusing on the length of the run. These are just suggestions though, if you wanted the game this way then that's completely fine! Overall, it's a really interesting and unique idea, the graphics are nice and you executed it nicely for what time you had :)
Unique idea! I really liked how each level was special in its own way. Loved that the maze was disjointed, usually people don't really put much thought into the maze but you did, really shows that you put effort into the game design. The graphics were a little bit bland but the leaderboard was a great touch, made me feel more competitive and strive to get the fastest time possible. My favourite level was the gym level, though it was super funny. :)
Really liked the cutscenes and the story you added to it. The music choice was nice, it didn't get too taxing to hear after it loops, and the creepy balloon character is a good reoccuring character to see. My only suggestion is for the graphics, make sure you use assets that are the same sizes (pixels per unit) or downsize them to a universal size otherwise it makes the game feel a bit less complete. Overall, nice little game :)
I'm putting some time aside tomorrow night to go through and give feedback to any games you link here! I'd love it if you'd also give some feedback to my first game jam game, Doorway Dynamo:

Thank you so much for the feedback! I really do appreciate it! My biggest blunder of the game jam was focusing too much on the mechanics and dedicated little time to level design, I spent the most time on "An Actual Puzzle?!" which is why it's probably the most polished one out of all of them. Thank you for playing, I'll definitely adjust the levels after the jam ends :)
Really liked the concept of your game!
Try out my game, Doorway Dynamo, and leave some feedback if you can :)

Heya! Really liked the voxel graphics of your game, definitely one of the more stunning looking games out there.
Here's my game, hope you enjoy it and leave some feedback if you can :)

Love the voxel style graphics, very satisfying to look at. The roguelike mechanics integrated with the doors were nicely done. Like the others have said, it does get repetitive after awhile, having a variety of enemies would have been a nice touch but time constraints definitely makes it difficult. I would suggest randomizing the stats of the zombies like size, speed, damage, etc. to give them a bit of variety. Overall, amazing job:)
Gorgeous art on your game! Really liked the idea of it.
Here's Door Dynamo, a game about picking up and placing doors :)

Love the messages each puzzle had, and the underlying lore and setting behind the scenes. A very unique experience in both the gameplay and the way you took the theme. I understand that rather than the use of actual doors like most games have done, you used the concept of the unknown and ambiguity of what's behind the door; That's exactly the concept I played around in my game, except way more literal about it haha. Overall, great experience :)
