amazing game! very fun, very cute, great mechanics!
Actually incredible man. Incredibly polished and I love the feel
5 stars for everything on this one for me. Sounds are great, visuals so cozy and well done, and this has some great mechanics. Strong entry you guys and I think this is going to place well!
Great graphics, great mechanics really loved it!
Loved it! Everything is well polished, and the mechanic is easy to understand and explored thoroughly through the level design. Only thing missing is more levels!
Hands down best game I've played yet in this jam, extremely well polished. Easy to understand, some puzzles had me scratching my head and rightly so! Well balanced speed of the crocodile, had more than one level where it was down to a second.
Well deserved full marks in every category, was a pleasure to play this!
agreed, was looking for someone else who commented this haha. This was such a fun game!
Very cool! I love the levels and how well you introduced the idea! Very cool game
Wow this one was so fun. I love it. Great art and awesome mechanics. I wish it were longer!
Really nice job. Visuals are absolutely stunning visuals man.
This is my favorite game to be a JAM winner, great job! It's a fun game and makes good use of the theme.
Such a cute and fast paced little game! really like the art and game feel!
10/10 graphics
That third last level had me sweating! I agree with the other comment about some sort of input buffer, it would help a bit on some of the later stages. But the little details in this one really astound me... the little ripples in the water with each move (and clicks at the game start), the cute tongue grab, and the music... THE MUSIC! Idk if you made it or found it but either way, incredible work. Nearly perfect buildup of difficulty (I still think the 3rd last was the hardest...), really amazing work!
Level design is so sublime. You had me literally screaming. And my migraine disappeared? Level 10 is simply the
worstbest. The build up of tension and yet the ease of repeating a level is fantastically balanced.Just one note by a housemate (who is too shy to actually comment themselves):
There's a bit of input lag. I explained to them that some modern polished games actually queue actions based on too-early input, to the point that sometimes 'ordinary' games like these may have zero input lag, it just feels like it has because of that. Might be an area to improve on later if you do!
Hey!, Thanks for your comment and your housemate's haha.
Yes, the action queue for input is a feature that would work really well. I think I'll implement it later, in the end the idea is that it feels like jump buffering.
Thanks again for your comments :D
Fantastic! Possibly the best game here. Only thing that bugs me is requiring the mouse to grapple, I really wish that could have been done with a gamepad or keyboard instead. (since you can only grapple in cardinal directions, there shouldn’t be any technical reason for a mouse).
Amazing graphics and soundtracks
Maybe the best game I've played through in this jam. Unlike most of the submissions it actually had a decently unique interpretation on the theme I found myself stressing about moving forward and getting to the flag which was great. Also visuals and audio were great but idk how much of the audio was from freesound and how much you did yourself. Great job dude.
Hey!, thanks for your comment!
I downloaded some sounds from Freesound, but edited and combined them to achieve the effects I wanted :D
Awesome game, the levels were intriguing and the presentation is exquisite! Loved every aspect of it
Nice complete game. So polished that at first glance it's hard to believe it was made for a game jam. But I'd rather think it was made by a master :) Good luck with your projects!
Great work! The mechanics felt super smooth. I also made a 2D platformer where a nerd faces gym chaos—hope you check it out!
