This game has now been released, with 2 hours to spare! There are a number of missing features I wanted to get in (such as more items, better UI, sound, etc.), but it's a fully playable game at least!
Check it out here: https://digitalbombstudios.itch.io/castle-of-the-necromancer
Added a new boss to my game Castle of the Necromancer. This evil goblin mage spawns fireballs that shoot towards you! You'll have to dodge them while darting in and attacking where possible.
A little less exciting, but I also worked on a number of core systems to the game -- the ability to equip items, sleep, and purchase things from shopkeepers. Just have to finish the last 10ish levels before Wednesday!
Castle of the Necromancer is an old-school adventure/RPG. In this game, the world is being infected by a terrible disease. You suspect it's the necromancer that lives in his castle nearby. You must fight make your way to the castle and fight your way to the necromancer before the entire world becomes infected!
The past couple days I've been working on a number of systems in the game, plus fleshing out the first zone you must complete before continuing your adventure to find the Castle of the Necromancer.
I added some very basic grid-based lighting (still needs some work), as well as some more interesting enemies, like this boss that spawns bats during the fight.

After showing my game off at GDC and getting pretty positive feedback, I have launched my Kickstarter and Greenlight campaign! I have also put together a new video for the game, located on the Kickstarter page.
I don't have any new screenshots yet since I've been at GDC most of the week, but I'll be getting back to work on Faunus Fields tonight so I'll get some new screens up soon!
Update -- March 22nd, 2016: Check us out on Steam Greenlight and Kickstarter
Hi all! I've been working on this game for ~4 months now and just found out about the Devlogs section of itch.io!
Anyways, my game is a farming sim inspired by Rune Factory and Harvest Moon, with a twist -- a beast that threatens your town and demands tribute in the form of crops every week. I intend to have a pretty deep combat system, lots of secrets, and a main storyline to complete as you farm, build your strength, and get married!
Here's a link to the itch.io page for more detailed info: Faunus Fields
The latest feature I've added is a basic fishing system, as seen below:
I look forward to building some community here on itch.io and sharing my progress with you all!

Hi everyone!
I've been working on a game for ~4 months now that is inspired by Harvest Moon and Rune Factory. I've decided to release the game as an early access on Itch.io for people who want to follow along with my project. This is at a reduced price than what you can purchase from the upcoming Kickstarter and reduced from what the final price at release will be.
