Fun little one-click game as you journey through the Sol system, and perhaps beyond the frontier (was only good enough to get 21). The white bar was difficult for me to personally track, though being played on web page with white background likely didn't help my eyes.

The game could be made more fun for those who like to be perfect, and have messages about how perfect they hit the blue line and provided a higher score point than just getting it on the edges. Nice music track and smooth animations overall. Perfect for mobile users who like to procrastinate.

(1 edit)

I'm struggling to play for this. As soon as the white line touches the very edge of the blue it's game over

Had to unplug my HOTAS as the game was picking up input.

Nice. I saw a video about 2 years ago for a Dreamcast game where you flew a spaceship and could blow up parts off giant enemy battleships. So, I'm trying to do something like that!

What are you working on Badger?

4 level game, where you evade various alien spaceships and optionally shoot them with the one bullet one kill banana projectile.

From the second level background scenery passed by, with destroyed planets and giant alien battle saucers, which really should have included some in the first level. Enemy ships varied each level, and they moved much faster by the 4th level to add to the difficulty. Though I cheated and just sat at the bottom of the screen!

Nice arcade music. Basic gameplay.

Suggestions for improvement:

A mechanic to encourage the player to shoot enemies rather than just allowing them to pass by. A score counter with leaderboard, some smaller enemy types, and enemies that shoot back. Extra sound effects, ie explosions. A bit more polish on the particle explosion then release for 0.99$ on Steam (not joking) :)

Hello, I'm Dan. I've wanted to make a space combat game since I was a teenager. I started on a 2D version back when I was 17. After many engine changes and progressing to 3D, I have now been able to tick that one item off my bucket list (at the expense of every other item!). It took a couple of decades...

If you are new to space combat games, you'll experience futuristic dogfights in space against enemy starfighters and massive warships across 21 missions each bringing something different to experience.

Fans of the genre should not be disappointed (I hope since I made this as a fan myself).

  • 21 mission campaign with 6 fighters to fly, 5 enemy fighters, and 4 warships to encounter.
  • Choose your ship and customize its weapons
  • Gamepad, HOTAS, and flight pedal controller support
  • Newtonian physics with exaggerated forces to keep controls feeling tight and responsive
  • An enemy AI that is more aggressive and lethal at higher difficulty levels
  • Instant Action scenarios to practice and improve your combat and survival skills
  • A level editor to create your own missions.

TL;DR: Check out Absolute Territory
