Hey mid! Welcome in this thread. :)
I have never intended to talk about only Mastodon (or ActivityPub, its protocol under the hood), which is just one of the possible programs (and protocols) as you can see here https://the-federation.info/ albeit the most adopted. The link is in my first post too.
Best,
Hey all!
After a dozen of reCAPTCHAs I filled again, I take the opportunity to propose a change in the CAPTCHA system.
To me, that should be considered as "Bug" (as for the tag I chose) since it is not an expected result the CAPTCHA itself discourages/prevents legitimate use of the website.
Thanks for your time.
Hey No Time To Play! Thanks for your feedback. :)
Indeed my thread is here to revamp the interest from itch.io dev team. I am glad you (and others) too love my little tiny proposal. All in all, and apart from historical reasons, the choice to display only Twitter does not resonate with me precisely because any link can be put in the bio.
Best,
Instead of/In addition to Twitter, add the field "Federation" to insert an optional handler for distributed social network, e.g. @username@domain.tld (handlers are standardized [*EDIT: see note]).
itch.io has an account too: @itchio@mastodon.social. Several protocols and software here. Further info on current nodes here: https://the-federation.info/
Here follows a possible "Setting" interface:
and here a possible user "Profile" page:
[EDIT, technical note]: I read the comment here and thank the author. In short, AFAIU: the username@domain.tld handler (w/o leading @) is standardized per ActivityPub (the most diffuse protocol). Other protocols might use a different special character instead of @. That can be easily parsed. Also relevant for implementation: «The ActivityPub spec doesn’t cover profile discovery [, h]owever [m]ost current implementers have integrated Webfinger 5 for that purpose, since users like to work with handles rather than URLs.» In the same comment, there is a suggestion for acct-to-uri conversion via Webfinger to preserve the handler abroad diverse protocols.
Cool so many translations have bloomed after these comments above. :)
In the while, I found this free-as-in-freedom software here https://weblate.org/ for collaborative software translations. I use it for other projects. ;)
I used https://litrouke.tumblr.com/ask instead of https://litrouke-works.tumblr.com/ask since the former does not need registration! btw e-mail is better
Hello! There is some work to do. :)
0)this is a fan-made Sciarra's BANG! readaptation? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bang!_(card_game) As a good practice, I think they should be acknowledged
1)It does not work with Firefox. I used Chrome to run the single-player mode.
2)Intro needs a CONTINUE and a SKIP button. It is frustrating I can't go forward, and it is twice as frustrating when I misclick "story". Btw. enjoyed the background you gave to justify why people do not know each other.
3)Game shall start after I close the "play rule". Too much information on the screen, it is a mess and I do not see the central character.
4)Characters' ability should be in-game available.
5)Characters' moves should be on-screen visible (not just text).
Best!
