I'm loving following this project, and seeing the feedback you've given. I think it's really good and will help me to make a more enjoyable game myself. I did the whole start "big" and now am trying to piece it together.  I'm also not put off by RTP, I think that it's more about how you use the tiles to me. But the concept of the first hour needs to "hit a homerun" so to speak is great feedback, something I know I hadn't thought of.

As for the story and cast. I know the Dev has ideas for prequel and other story arcs potentially. I think the cast backstory being a bit "thin" makes sense in line with the actual plot. I suppose there could be more inter-team interaction to build off, but I feel I do have a general idea of personality of each person.

I found a few areas I could get out of bounds, but they weren't game breaking. Reported to dev.
I don't remember doing too many repeats of areas, but I like to explore around anyway so I didn't see a need for fast travel in the game.

I did find myself using the Energy attacks for most encounters, but I had a few to choose, single vs multi enemy attacks, so it gave me variety and allowed me to try different attack styles which was welcome.

Overall took about 6 1/2 - 7 hours to complete the game for me. I think the parallel story lines really were great and definitely agree that story progression felt good, I didn't feel overwhelmed with everything happening at once, but still didn't feel like I needed story faster either.

The first RPG Maker game I think I've finished so far, so for sure I'd recommend this to play.

Confirmed just now it worked (I only tested this The Orphans)

DM'd you on Reddit a few bugs. LMK what your preferred method of reporting is.

Smart move to drop Linux/Mac for now. Focus on the game and bugs, and once you feel good about the game then you can attempt those again. Even then majority of users are Windows, and you have the browser version for others. Keep it up, looking good.

ohhh I'd love to hear how to get it working on OSX. You are using MV right?

Yeah or have the "old man" event do a movement route North and off the map like he's running away.

Figured out where to go, should there have been a "cut scene" or something to make it more apparent what the next step was?

(1 edit)

I'm getting stuck at the part where you sleep in the pods and are woken up by the sounds outside. I fight the enemies then the old guy says "unhand me fiend" then it seems I'm just stuck.  Maybe I'm just not figuring out part of a puzzle?  Or is this something I need to restart to trigger switches to bypass?

A few areas I don't think I should be able to walk on the first area.

Same, I use Region ID to set what spawns and Region restrictions, so the shadows don't work on my maps, and look weird when I walk up to a region ID marker
