Hey, I'm glad you liked it! I really enjoyed working on this project, as this game is very nostalgic for me. I currently have no plans to update it any further and I don't know the legality of distributing multiple levels of a game that is still being sold on Steam by 3D Realms. It would be different if it were considered abandonware. If you really like it, consider buying the original: Hocus Pocus on Steam (steampowered.com)

I didn't know Wine had this problem with GMS games, I'm sorry to hear that. I searched a bit online, it seems that Wine has an issue with the Graphics Device Interface API. The best I can do for now, is recommend you to try it with different Windows Emulators, like QEMU.
If I find out any information that might help you to run my game on your device, I'll let you know.
Also, when I have a working Linux build, I'll make sure to notify you ;)
Thank you, I'm glad you liked the graphics!
I do intend to eventually port it to Linux, but I want to complete the Windows version first. Making 2 ports simultaneously would delay development, since I'm working on this project alone.
However, while there is still no official Linux port, I believe you can run this version of my game on your OS with the Wine emulator.
I haven't tested it myself, so I can't confirm its effectiveness, but from what I've seen, it's very good at emulating games with simpler visuals, like this one.
I hope this helps, thanks for your comment!
I enjoyed playing it, but there are still somethings that can be improved.
I feel the player movement should be a little bit faster, or maybe you should add a "run" button. Also, it seems the player has a small acceleration instead of moving at top speed all the time, which is nice for making precise adjustments to his positioning, but I also died because of it, when trying to jump from the edge of a platform to another without enough momentum.
I can't control how high I can jump by releasing the spacebar key, but I think it's intentional, right? I can't say if this was a designe choice or not, but I liked having to commit to my jumps.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! I'm sorry, I believe the Game's file size is due to the BG music file format. I'm using wav files for the BG music and I still haven't changed my code to support transitions between sounds in file formats with better compression, like ogg, for example.
EDIT - I thought you were talking about the above image's file size. Sometimes I'm really dumb :')
