I liked using the flares to ignite the enemy dynamite. I was disappointed the enemy explosions didn't take take each other out or break the rocks.

I really like the bat sprites. When playing on a laptop I need WASD controls so I can move the character with my left hand and use the trackpad with my right.

I like the puzzle design. It would be nice to also support WASD keys as well.

The only improvements I'd suggest to the puzzle design would be to have the powered sections light up so the player can see the flow of power and perhaps a next tile queue?

I liked the simple graphics, really sold the light and dark concept. The controls were not to my liking, I prefer using a controller.

The windows download has been fixed.

Hello. A mistake was made with the Windows build, it does not include the PCK file. The GitHub link above has the missing file.  🙇‍♂️

The download has been updated.

The HTML build has been dropped due to problems 5am me didn't notice and is too late to fix.

Hi, I'm a programmer and this is my first game jam. I'm looking to team up with anyone for the jam to grow my skills.

I'm wondering why she has a quiver full of arrows but still has to pick up arrows before she can shoot them. Maybe change the quiver to only show the number of arrows she has picked up instead?

I'm getting an "app is damaged" error on macOS 13.2, M2.

The macOS build uses the default NW.js icon. "CrossCode.app/Contents/Resources/app.icns" should be replaced with the nice icon the other versions of the game get. 😉

I like it. :D

Some notes:

  • Annie’s sprite is real cute.
  • Ladders: Annie shouldn’t let go of the ladder unless the player moves off to the side or presses jump.
  • The continual bouncing while holding jump was a surprise.
  • If possible, set the flag to disable anti-aliasing for a crisp screen (may need to be set on a per-browser basis).
