Badass!

Dang. Well that's understandable.

Can I use this in my trailer music for my game? I am using RPG maker MV but I want to use this for the trailer.

Kind of wish I scaled down a bit more on my project for the jam but I always scale up too much.

Dang! Now that's effort!

I really tried to get the game done within the time frame, but I am too tired.
Thank you for the extension. I posted an updated version of it, but I just return to the title screen after the second battle.
Maybe if I wake up in time I can add more, but I am done with the project for now

(1 edit)

Today I am working on story mode for the game. Yesterday I was making the title screen which will reveal the game name and what the title screen looks like soon. What are you guys working on today?

Sorry I took so long! Here is an update!
The message box is now fully functional!

Now this may seem lame at first but here is a more practical example:

As you can see the text speeds up, bold and gets bigger. This perfectly matches the action type of game play I am aiming for!

It's crunch time! I will figure the rest out. Thanks for your time and patience, I will post more soon!

Best of luck with your project!

Quick update: My desktop crashed. I didn't know why it did until I opened it up. I am going to transfer my files to my laptop and finish up there.

So the issue was with the message box system and I think I found a solution. I had to halt the entire game because I need the message box for story mode with it's features and experience it gives to the player. I am going to update this tomorrow night and decide on my approach to crunch time. I don't want to drag this out much longer. I want to have a good product to present and make sure people enjoy it. I will post what I have regardless in 5 days if not sooner and work to Improve it till the submission deadline.

I hope everyone's project is going well and may the best game win!

Thank you! I was worried I wouldn't be able to finish in time!

I will have to post later. I was coding something and it broke. I will try to have it ready before the deadline

The base gameplay should be done by then.

In 5 days I will submit my game which I have codenamed Project Peace. Is it ok if I try and update it till the submission deadline? I've had to scale down a lot.

How's everybody's project?

Alright. Last question. Does the "battle" loser have to be KOd or can they just lose the "battle"?

What engines can we use?

Hey, so is it allowed to make a game with certain thoughts, ideas and ideals based on religion?
Such as the theory God created multiple worlds beyond this one.
I am asking because the jam creator is quite literally a minister.

Do we have to follow the exact idea listed or can we just improvise based on the theme resolving conflict?

There are plenty of things you can do in the game that are fun, but there isn't a clear linear goal that you can actually work towards like in traditional RPGs. I think it relies too much on randomness for me, gameplay wise.

I liked it a lot, it was really fun as far as I got, but you forgot to include files for the game so it got too frustrating to play.

I like the audio. It reminds me of shovel knight.

It is a pretty creative and interesting game.

Thank you and good luck!

Within the first few moments I thought this game was well polished and very well balanced. As soon as I finished the first part I was lost and confused on where to go admitably because I forgot what the royalty said, but once I did find my way the orcs were overpowered and the debuffs were making the other foes do 0 damage so it wasn't as balanced as it initially was. The more I played the more I realized how weak and ineffective the skills were and how much HP the enemies had. I can't say much because my game has the same issues...

The boss battle sort of dragged on because it could continue to bring up it's defense. I liked the beginning of the game regardless, but the battles weren't as good as they initially were. Did you feel the same of my game?
