I have taken a 2 month break from gamedev and wanted to get back on the grind via kickstarting it with a game jam. I have been working on a game called feathercall and I have 2 other games under my profile in itch. You can see my most recent work here: https://twitter.com/dreamveilstudio. Most of my games I have worked in are 2d platformers... sorta want to make something a bit more diverse.

I have 5 years spent in unity as a solo developer. I try to learn everything I can about the whole process(excluding sound design) so I can help in many areas. I have never worked in a team before so I will be completely new to working with teammates. Send me a message if you are interested in working with me!

1 ship... lmao! I have quite a few more ships than 1!! Fun idea and impressive work

Gotta love a good puzzle for me to decrypt!! I like it

Good work

I really like the idea and I had fun with it, but level 6... am I suppose to time my jumps to when it goes on and off the switch or do I spawn like 50 boxes to make a tower to the top!! Mightve cheesed that level a little. Good job!

The coins were very difficult to get in some levels but if I kept going at it I feel like I couldve gotten them all! Good work

Good pixel art and amazing polish considering it was made in 4 days. Interesting take on the theme. I would like to see more depth in the core gameplay as it felt stale. Great work!

Really good puzzle game with really unique mechanic to the puzzle genre. My only issue is why is there a timer? I feel like the timer only frustrated me when I was one square away from putting my block in! You already have a space key to initiate the time loop. Other than that small issue, I really like this game and it is one of my favorite submissions!

AYE GJ! Thanks for playing all the way through it and I'm glad you liked it!

If I said you somehow got me hooked on a game about a square talking to other squares and following a wacky story and I enjoyed it and was laughing the whole time, would you believe me? In all seriousness, I had way too much fun playing this game. Keep up the good work!

haha its all good, maybe I shouldve added a restart button just in case...

Thanks for playing!! What level did you get stuck on?? I thought I had that covered!

I like the concept you took on the game jam, to use time loop to upgrade yourself. It must be alot to get those mechanics together in 4 days, Good Job!

Since we got 2 extra days and I started late, I updated the game with the following changes which are the following:
- sound effects and music

- more forgiving loop mechanics (it was sorta difficult)

- 5 extra levels

- particle effects on bashing star

Thanks for all that played it and I hope you will try out the updated version!!

Yea, I sorta ran out of time since I wasn't able to start till Thursday and I didn't make enough levels to ease the player into the mechanics. I have updated it since we got more time so hopefully the update will help out a little. Thanks for trying it out though!!

Thank you! It was a pleasure making this and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

AHHH no, I was scared lvl 5 was a hard one!! Thanks for playing!

The cutest pixel art ever. I kept playing cause I wanted to see the them of the next world. Good job for your first game in godot

I have hunkered down and have worked on a game for the last 2 months with what little time I have. I wanted to create something to commemorate the old flash days of small but incredibly difficult games. I am very proud of myself to say I think I made something like that but a tone of difficulty down. It was a pleasure to make this game and I am excited to see what others have to think of it

Fire Tends to Burn You is a retro 8 bit platformer. It has 30 challenging levels ramping in difficulty. You play as a small player with rather snappy controls. I challenge any hardcore gamers to try and beat my time of 12:36 and 87 deaths! In fact, try and get a 0 death run, I'm excited to see if anyone is up to the challenge!!
