Great game! I love the art and I'm surprised by the amount of assets that were made! Had to check and only two person team, wow!

The gameplay was also good. I love card games and this was very Slay the Spire which I love. I liked the idea of burning your cards for a more power effect, and it being a game of resources because your burn through your deck. The one issue I see with the mechanic is that I was actually very beneficial to me to burn my own cards haha. Removing the bad cards make your deck more powerful because you draw the good cards more often. I was even able to beat it :3. I think a way to make it so you don't want to remove your base cards could be to balance it by making them have very strong burn effects, so it would make sense to save them for later fights. For example, there is this snake card that does 8 damage for 1 mana which is busted, so I always preferred to have that than any of the base cards. But if the base cards could be burned for a lot, maybe even more than that, then I wouldn't have been so quick to burn them all...

Anyways, it was very fun for a jam game. I feel like there is a potential for a longer game here, just need to play around with the burn mechanic :). And of course, the art was very cute!

Will rate the game after I finish with my queue!

It was, in fact, not allowed. Haha. We assumed it was going to be this way but once we got the idea we had to make it! Glad to see some people had fun!

Understandable. As long as people can still play it that's fine!

This one, right?

Yeah, this one was a bit tricky, because it's rotated some 45 degrees. So it's easy to get confused and use the wrong stars. Using rotation or not was a debate in the team, maybe we should have kept only really small rotations (15 degrees or less). Thanks for you feedback!

Thanks for playing it! Yeah, the difficulty of the constellations was hard to get. We tried to get that sweet spot of not being hard but also not being obvious, but we couldn't test it as much as we wanted to. (Love your constellation btw, pretty sus)

Hi! Do you remember which one? Difficulty was hard to do in the game, because if you already know the answer it's super easy to see the constellation so it was hard for me to judge what was easy and what was hard when making them. If you found it too hard it wasn't intended, I tried to hit that sweet spot where it's not hard but also not obvious. After testing it with some friends I simplified it but some of them might still be too difficult.

For a moment I though it was going to be one of those games where you see something super cute but the screen changes and it turns out to be something horrible.

Fun little game. I played it to finish the levels but not to have the less amount of strokes. I feel like the controls are a bit clunky which is perfect for a fun wacky game but not for making precise shots like in a golf game. I liked the music!

Fun short game! 6/6! The screen blurring and shaking was a bit stressful though haha.

Really polished game! Amazing result for a game jam! Loved all the attention to details, even the menu looks amazing! Particularly interesting because we also went for a constellation based game, but we took a completely different approach. Always cool to see that with a similar theme you can end up with things so different! If you are interested to see our approach check also our game :). https://epord.itch.io/bound-to-the-stars

Thanks! I totally agree that the begging is too hard. I like your idea about not doing it vertical from the beginning. Now that you said it, I remember that the game "Getting over it" for example also start with a couple of challenges where you need to just go over a couple of obstacles, which indeed ease you a little bit. I guess we where too into the mindset of doing a single vertical climb.

We also saw that some games uploaded a trailer, didn't know you could do that. So we uploaded a speedrun of us playing. Maybe it will encourage people to play the game knowing it's actually playable!

I understand what you say. After finishing the game we saw many people play and it takes some time to get used to it. It's definitely not for everyone and I'm not sure if the game could be changed to be more approachable. It's playable, because the friends who put some time into it could beat the game and watching them play was really fun. But yeah, most people struggle with the game maybe too much. Maybe with some easier level design at the beginning it could be improved. Or with some optional animations of how to play.

Don't forget to play on fullscreen! The side wall are outside of the screen if not.

When on fullscreen you can actually see the walls, not sure why but when not in fullscreen the screen is not adjusted correctly, will look into that for my next gamejam!

About the control, for the jam we made them complicated, but we will try to play with them to see if we can make something that is slightly more friendly, we had too many of our friends that rage quitted too fast, lol.

Thanks! We actually had those games in mind, Getting Over It / Jump King / etc... when building the game. Make a game with bad/hard mechanics but that can be fun (if you like the challenge).

Really good game! Very solid design. The only thing is that there is a big incentive to just hide and kill everyone with the needle. Not sure how that would be fixed. Maybe with a scrolling screen, forcing you to keep moving? O some enemies that hit you from anywhere if you stay still?? Or maybe the enemies drop things you have to pick up that disappear with time, rewarding riskier plays.

Anyway, very good game. Good luck!

How do you pass second screen? You can only jump once or restart. Could have been a great game but not properly explained.

I didn't understood how to play it until I a read the instruction text. Original idea but not properly explained.

The quotes were funny, but not much fun after that. I took me sometime to understand who I was looking for, I mean, it just searching for the same guy. I though I had to find someone based on descriptions.  So, fun to play for a minute.

The idea is really good, but the execution could be better. A lot of the times it felt forced "like the police guy waiting for you to say "pistol?". But nice idea, I liked it.

Too many unfair or pixel perfect jumps. The game is just too hard to appreciate the "one minute per level" mechanic. I think making levels that are easier but hard because of the time would have been better.
