Hi  thank you for trying my game!

I hadn't really considered making it about finding the best solution, I had always planned to do it as an "against the clock" affair. It was originally harder, and the clock went down instead of up, and that was even too stressy for me :p

With regards to Level 4... People have mentioned getting stuck there to me, I think I should add a level select so that people can still access the others even if they get stuck.

Thank you for your feedback :)

A casual puzzle-platformer for  Android and Windows PC

This is my first ever not-for-a-jam release, so please be gentle!

In Awkward Robot you must guide Robert the Robot to the exit.. sounds easy, right?

...it might not be as straightforward as I first made it seem.. go find  out why ;P

Am sorry, I had a bit at the end that introduced the man himself but it seemed corny so I deleted it out.

Also fantastic job on your game, the best I ever made in Eclipse was the dopey tutorial one where you're moving a ball about while things hit you. How have you managed all that in 30 days? I hope I can Java that good one day!

Thank you for reviewing my game.

I have used the "roblox studio" before but as it was my first time with unity, I wanted to stick to things I knew how to do so that I could reach the deadline without getting stuck on obscure details. A lot of the modelling time was spent initially getting objects out of Blender and into Unity without error, such as inverted meshes, or holy vertices, and I'm not skilled on textures and shaders yet, so everything looked rather basic, kinda like when people make a building in Minecraft but use all the same block.

I am writing down any points people put forward so that I can enact them in the future, so I appreciate your comments very much.

Hey, not got any ratings yet so would very much appreciate and will reciprocate

Cheers!

As above

Mine is "Strings of Light" - simple and elegant with a nice premise.

What are yours? Shill me your top picks (I don't even mind if it's your own game :p)

Hey, here's mine

https://itch.io/jam/game-off-2020/rate/835736

I've gone through and rated the ones I played before the jam was over but I've yet to walk through the complete list.

Would love feetback/rating of my game

Cheers!

This is my game: Winston is Stuck on the Moon

https://itch.io/jam/game-off-2020/rate/835736

Please rate as it seems I couldn't even buy a rating if I tried :p

Hey

Winston is Stuck on the Moon is my furst game in Unity, simple platformer, you're a cat somehow stuck on the moon, gotta get home without getting killed.

Hello,

This is just a quick post about my GitHub GameOff 2020 entry - "Winston is Stuck on the Moon"

https://ducksplash.itch.io/winston-is-stuck-on-the-moon

This is my first game in Unity. I did another one in "roblox studio" but hit a wall when the programme started to go wrong, so I've decided to move to Unity permanently; this Game Jam was my excuse to get familiar with unity by giving myself a 1 month target to go from no experience to a playable game.

The objective is to get Winston the cat home from the moon.  It is quite short as some of the time was spent learning how to do things in Blender too.

Thanks for looking!

I have (hopefully) fixed these issues.

I also added a map with Xs to mark the spots where the parts are.

Thank you for your help :)

Thank you for the feedback :)

I should probably tone down the brightness a bit, I was trying to simulate "the intensity of the sun if it wasn't passing through an atmosphere"

Not sure why you got kicked out though, that's a new one :/ - I'll do some tests, I'm wondering if it's activating the button even when the menu isn't there, as I don't actually enable/disable the UI, but make it visible/invisible - technically the button is still there all the time, but just not always visible :p

- Can I ask... when you got kicked, did the screen fade to black, or was it instant? (if i know whether it faded to black or not, I'll know if the button mechanism did actually trigger or if it was just a crash)

The music I noticed seems to degrade over time, not sure what's going on there, seems to be a unity thing cos it played fine when I listened to it raw. I think I'll need to spend some time playing with the audio setup in Unity; it's quite expansive and has a lot of options.

Really appreciate the feedback though, it's not easy to get feedback like this!

The parts are:

In the water cave, space station, habitation module, behind the water cave (there's a "moon landing" diorama there) and in a roofless cave immediately to the left of the spawn point.

The asteroids come at you fast, and just when you think you've figured out a "system", a fast rogue comes in to ruin your day. The last game that frustrated as much as this was Flappy Bird.

You've done well here. Simple, elegant, and that good kind of annoying that makes go again and again.

Wanted to ask though, what does the name mean?

by far one of my favourites on this jam.
