There is no guide for the game, sadly. I do believe the devs prefers to let the players find the right choices themselves, to give a better experience with the VN. You can always ask others fans or even the devs on the VN discord server tho.

Do not worry my friend! All is good, in fact it is fair to ask it. Just, couldn't hurt to check around to see if the anwser isn't already there. MindOfFur's social medias should be accessible via the itch.io page so it definitely good to check them when you are wondering about the developpement status :3
Just the Chapter One, which mean you get access to:
- 6 Pivotal Fragments (the main parts of the chapter)
- 2 Heart-To-Heart Fragments (Isaac and Dante only, the other fragments will be unlocked and available in the next chapters) *
- 8 Supplemental Fragments, which aren't necessary for the plot but add some flavor and better understanding of the story and universe.
DOWN BELOW, THERE WILL BE A SPOILER ABOUT THE OTHERS HEART-TO-HEART FRAGMENTS, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
* Taylor and Klace Heart-to-Heart moments happen during the nightclub part, once you have finished all the Pivotal Fragments. Sadly, Kyron DO NOT have a heart-to-heart moment yet, due to how late (tho not as late as Klace) and rare he appears in the first chapter.
Yeah, but it doesn't hurt to give the anwser. If they ask again, I'll reply to their question too. True, some could spare 1-2 minute checking if their question hasn't been anwsered already, but we're all fan of the visual novel here :v
So I don't really mind replying over and over again, as long people still have fun reading the VN (and not believing it is dead)
this is MindOfFur most recent tweet (posted the 30th of June):
"Finally, got the confirmation I passed all my exams successfully, 2 months of summer to work on Scribbles' route, here I come! Right after Tate and his stupid amount of sprites are done being implemented..."
So... in a nutshell? We didn't receive any update because he was busy with both school and writing Tate's route. But we should expect his route to be available quite soon, and if I had to guess, we should receive it in the middle of july maximum (if adding the sprites become more chaotic than trying to keep Tate in detention). In the meantime, he is going to work on the 4th route.

Here the latest announcement from the devs, on the discord server:
"Hello everyone! Due to some technical issues and the amount of things still need to be done for this update, we'll be pushing the update date to 4th of June. We're sorry for this late update. The next update after this will still up as usual at the end of June.
Thank you for understanding guys!"
Hope it anwser your question.
I have to admit that I do agree with you on a certain extent.
In particular, the translations from scenes to scenes are indeed a tad bit too long, and I do have to complain about the sound that is used.
I won't lie that, for some characters, it is quite hard to find a difference between their voices. Nevertheless, their VA did a wonderful job-which is probably one of the things I enjoy the most about that VN, because, c'mon, there isn't that many visual novels who actually have voices for their characters. And the VA nailed their jobs, they all feel natural in a way.
Decisions we can take in the VN don't feel very... important, indeed. Nor do they have a major impact on the story progression. And what little we can actually control is nothing compared to every decisions we aren't able to do. So I do agree with you, I sincerely wish they could make the MC far less autonomous if they want to make use of choices in the story. The best in term of visual novels are those with either linear storyline or choices that have a lasting impact on the storyline, since an in-between usually give mild results in my perspective.
Oh, and we are on the same mindset about forward facing characters-it is a bit unsettling at times.
But other than that, I don't have any others major criticisms.
Sure, characters may not have that many visual states, but I'm pretty confident that, as Komorebi get developped, we'll see more and more sprites, some which will be more fitting for a variety of emotions. The designs of the characters are also pretty neat in my opinion. Not too boring while still having a fairly simple look.
The personnality of the characters might seem very similar at first, but do remember we're only at the beginning of the visual novel. Sure, maybe they could have been a bit more different from each others at day one, so they could be more interesting outside of their design, but usually, in real life, you'll find new people very similar to others people you met t'ill you start to know them very well. As long as there is some kind of progression in how much we can see their personnality, and how much they divert from each others, I think it should give some great results.
The quotes are a nice addition. The visual novel seem to have roots in a more philosophical side, since there is the implication of having the ability to know our future-and therefore, ponder about our very own existence and its meaning. I don't feel they are cringy, they just fit well without being too much. Better than having all the characters throwing inspirational quotes every 5 minutes, right?
Overall? Like any visual novels, it has its flaws. But I would still recommend it for all the great things it has brought: the VA, the concept (the menu with all the fragments is very interesting, and the plot is also feeling somewhat more original than many others stories I've read), the characters designs... It need improvements, sure, but we just got the demo: let us wait for the full game, as perhaps it will surprise us.
Do note that it is my first time that I'm actually typing such comment and that I'm not particularly refined on the subject- my goal was simply to express my point of view, in hope of clarifying that Rickalick87 was fair in pointing out weaker aspects of the visual novels, which they could be improved, but to also show that it is still a very promising work, one I'm looking forward to keep reading once the full VN is released.
Apologies for any mistakes that I've made in my comment, I usually speak and write in french.
A friendly reminder to everyone that struggle to obtain some CGs during fights, here some help to get them until there is changes in the battle system
I didn't check it correctly last time, but I can now confirm that there is still an useful glitch to loose fights.
Basically, if you're corrupted enough, you can just press the surrender button and then press "no". It'll skip your turn, meaning only your companion will deal dmg. Then, you just pray the RNG God that whoever you are with won't kill the enemies before you die from their attacks.
Do note it does not guarantee you to loose, it just give you more chance to get defeated.
EDIT: I do not reccomend being with Ray nor Kody, since they do either too much damage or will make you tank far too many attacks, respectively. I actually managed to loose a fight against the slime monster with Max, due to the fact he deal less damage than Ray and one of his ability does increase his attack dmg by 1-but your as well, which render his ability half-useless if you actually never attack.
Okay so I went and redo the fight. I noticed that, if you do not try to gain strength and maximize intelligence gain at the beginning of the game, then ditch every opportunities to train, you shouldnt have any of your stats heavily modified (other than possibly strength, because you gain free points 3 time before the fight, which at best could give you 1 additional dmg per attack). But even without the 1 more dmg per attack, the best thing to do would be to protect every turn and hope rng will bless you, although it does seem impossible now that you cant literally skip your turn. The best I reached is 4/10 HP. If you really want to get the CG, maybe trying another husbando could change how likely he is going to solo the fight? Since I've only went with Ray and Max so far, perhaps you could try Kody or Alex?
Nevertheless, I wish you best of luck in your quest for the CG
EDIT: I forgot that, to do the surrender glitch, you had to be corrupted-the glitch is still available
By soloing, you mean you're able to skip your turn (I presume via the "Surrender" glitch- if it hasn't been patched yet, been a while I didnt try it) and proceed to not deal any damage (or protect yourself)? In such case, other than making sure your stats are very low, you'll mostly have to rely on luck and hope that the slime beast manage to hit you as often as possible (since your partner, being a "little bit" OP, will absolutely not go down in that fight, only you can end this battle as a defeat). Try to take choices that upgrade intelligence and relationships over choices that improve your combat skills.
By the way, who is your partner in the fight?
Well I'm not a dev but as far as I know, implementing such thing would be extremely complicated. Why? Because pretty much all choices modify skills or relationship with the others characters. So, if there was an ability to get to the newest content, how would it add all the skills and relationships points that you would gain in a normal run? Would it choose randomly? Or go for preset routes? As I also suffered from saves not working, I can understand how a chapter select menu would be fantastic, but yeah it just impractical-the game isn't linear (on a choice basis) enough to make it work.
Buuut again I am not a dev :P
Apologies for the lack of anwser, I mostly didn't bother replying because I want to respect the developers' attempt in not giving out too much information about it (and therefore making me feel like writing this is kind of pointless) as well as the fact I am not one of the developer. But in case you still haven't found the scene, it really means you're missing some love points. Make sure to leave no choice, no stone, unturned. You might be surprised by the outcome :v
Hopefully you'll grab that sweet scene :3
Once again, if you're corrupted enough, you could just do the bug that I found- aka pressing Surrender, then "No". In such case, what would matter is not having high agility (if I'm correct, it has influence on how likely you are to dodge an attack) and endurance (how much hp you have, or perhaps how much dmg attacks will deal-idk, I am not the devs lol) so Linus have a much easier time killing you. Try getting intelligence anytimes you can as well.
If you're trying to do it while not being corrupted, good luck honestly, as your dmg combined with your companion's one will, most of the time, struck Linus down rather quickly. Tho I guess you should go with intelligence whenever you can, and perhaps- and weirdly- endurance, since a lots of strength/agility will really make you superior against Linus (improve dmg dealt/dodge chance, respectively) while a hp buff or dmg reduction wouldnt be thaaat bad compared to agility having a chance to negate full dmg.
In either cases, best is to go with the lowest stats possible- and there is opportunities for that! For exemple, in Max and Ray routes, when they do some training before going to the Akai tree, you have the choice to train with one of them: choose the character of your route, like if you're on Max's route, train with Max and while you'll improve your friendship with him, you won't gain any stats from it. On the opposite, choosing Ray when you're on Max route will result in a +2 Agility. On another exemple, in Max route, there is multiples opportunities to join Max's training sessions: decline them, as they are mostly free stats points- that you won't get if you don't tag in!
So, in a nutshell (and in case my english is awful): Go for intelligence whenever you can, make choices that increase relationships/corruption and not stats, keep the lowest agility possible and try using the bug I mentionned (in such case, go for strength since it won't matter, and try not getting a high endurance)
While I could experience all of it during previous playthroughs, I still require some further testing to give you an anwser that would be 100% accurate- I still hope it'll help ya :P
I actually found out that, if you're corrupted enough when you encounter Linus, you can just press the surrender button and then press "no". It'll skip your turn, meaning only your companion will deal dmg. Then, you just pray the RNG God that whoever you are with won't kill Linus before you die from his attacks (make a save right before the fight so you can always retry).
So far, I tried this trick with Max's route only, but I'm pretty sure being corrupted in any route will allow you to surrender, so feel free to give it a try! (I also did it on android, so I am not 100% sure it work on PC/Mac as well, but I don't think there's any reasons it wouldn't, right?).
So yeah, I guess we got some "kind" of wait button if you're a horny boi: Just press Surrender, then "No". Hopefully this will help ya :D
Tried to download the new version with the android build but failed and got the following message: "App not installed as package appears to be invalid".
Am I the only one getting such message or it is a common case? And does it come from my device or the apk file? I did delete the apk for the previous version, so I don't think it because I have an apk package with the same name?..
Ehh, regardless I'll just take time to say I love the visual novel, and keep the wonderful work! ^w^
EDIT: Okay I managed to download it... by deleting the game. Yep, I was pretty much wrong: the downloading failure was indeed caused by the apk package ending having the same name than the game. That's a shame tho, because it means I can't really "update" the VN and rather have to restart from scratch (and if this issue isn't fixed, probably at every updates? <w>'). I am still wondering if more people experience such issue, because if I'm alone, I'll just yeet my tablet out of the window, but otherwise that means the best thing to do would be to modify the apk package's name?..
