Thank you for the feedback! Sound is definitely something we wanted to add, but we didn't have time to find or create appropriate sounds. I think you're right, a visual effect, especially when enemies and the trees are hit, would have definitely improved the game's overall feel. 

Personally speaking, as the game's programmer, I think it's easy to underestimate the importance of those details when you're trying to add all of your desired features under a deadline.

The artist of our team actually had some visual effect assets prepared that I was unfortunately unable to implement in time! Don't want to let that happen again!

The controls add so much to the experience! Having to do the whole motion really makes ya feel like you're rowing against a current. Nice job!

This is an addictive kind of frustration! Had a lot of fun playing these levels. I love how tense zooming through those narrow corridors is when you're on a good run.

I'd be interested to see someone speedrun this game, soaking up as many bullets as possible.

Also, shoutouts to whoever animated the characters!

Very fun! After the rubber infusion, I got stuck with one enemy left, who didn't appear to be anywhere on the map (though there's a chance I just couldn't find them.. o7) Are there any upgrades I missed?
