Thank you so much! I appreciate your comment! :)

I recently found out about the EastWest ComposerCloud+ Library and it's mainly what I've used for these pieces. It's a subscription-based collection of insanely good libraries with the most variety I've seen so far. Especially for students, the price is well worth it ($10/month with a student subscription). Most of the libraries take up a looot of disk space tho so keep that in mind.

Other libraries I've used in the past are Spitfire's BBC Orchestra (there is also a very decent free version) and LABS, which is completely free.

The mechanic plays really well, but there is little room for mistakes/learning. Maybe there should also be an option to move forward manually or have items or additional mechanics help get the player to their goal.

The mechanic looks interesting, but the UI elements don't seem to scale correctly, so the instructions weren't clear.  An interesting take on the theme though! :)

The mechanic works nicely, but maybe the game would benefit from a twist/addition to the mechanic. Maybe the 'guards' can move around or respond to sudden movements/noise etc. The playable environment could also benefit a lot from thematical elements like prison bars etc. to pull the player in more. These could potentially aid or hinder the player as well. But it works and feels great, so a good start! :)

The mechanic is fun but pretty straightforward. Maybe the recipe book can contain different recipes for different guards, or if there could be a way to get certain items in another way than picking them up there would be more diversity and exploration for the player.

The mechanic feels satisfying! There isn't a real goal yet, and there aren't a lot of choices to be made except punching away. Maybe some walls can't be smashed down or some take multiple smashes to make the game more challenging for the player.

The game plays very nicely, but there is a big factor of chance and luck at play. Maybe the walls should be placed at the edges to make it harder to match the colors or have the player match multiple faces to progress before ending the level.

The mechanic is interesting, but the guards don't seem to notice you yet. Maybe it could also be interesting to have the guards walk around, to create more tension and less predictability for the player.

There is a good introduction to the mechanic, but the game seems endless at the moment; the goal isn't super clear yet. Maybe if there is a chance of escape or a penalty for not completing the task in time the player gets a bigger sense of purpose. Very original tho :)

Thanks! :)

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! :)

Thanks!

The game fits the theme mainly in two ways: The single and simple task of finding home, and the less distance you are away from home, the more likely it is you'll reach your goal (if you finish within a certain distance you succesfully comlpeted the game and if you are not within that distance, it shows the distance you are off. )

I also decided to make simple assets and music to stay true to the theme.

The game was made in Unreal Engine 4

I'll have a look at your feedback! Thanks again!

Fun game! The controls are quite unique, but they work well. The design is also quite nice!

At one point I managed to get stuck behind the walls when not walking through the door immediately, so I had to restart.

Here is my first game jam entry! I'll check yours out right now!
