Cute story with well-written dialogue and beautiful art! Well done, y'all.

I'm terrible at platformers, but this one felt pretty good! Especially after getting my first bridge/checkpoint. My problem was not using the bridges as soon as I built them (awesome animation btw, I love bridges); instead opting to finish the current tower.

Using the glider to exit the tutorial was super fun, rocks having no collision made me think there were secrets in them, especially when I found a maze texture on one. That could very well be true.

The typos/inconsistencies and lack of gravitas in the tutorial text, despite the presence of a seemingly biblical flood lost a couple immersion points, but the overall aesthetic is awesome. I love the shaders, and the platforming feels appropriately forgiving once I stopped tensing up and start enjoying it. The way the towers build is so terrifying and cool.

Unfortunately, I found a very easy-to-reproduce infinite height glitch where you can open the glider over and over to gain height while falling against the tower's wall. Other bugs include invisible collision on the prefab with the columns and moving platform that goes into the tower; some prefabs not always spawning with their correct counterpart above them, forcing you to move to another tower; some platforms at the end of bridges not having collision; and getting booted to the Start Menu after finishing two towers, but maybe I was doing them out of order or something.

Great game! Looking forward to more.

Really makes you feel like you're on a stakeout, looking at a grimy, French street.

In all seriousness, though, this is insanely polished and wonderfully flavorful. Especially with the letter at the beginning.

Hi there! My name's Jake and I want to join your team as a producer/writer/team lead/designer. I can manage a Trello, create paper prototypes, convey music/art inspiration, edit audio, do simple pixel art, and more! I recently led a team of 17 in creating a small horror game for university.

Thank you!

Wonderful aesthetic and well-paced gameplay. Reminds me of piloting the sub from Subnautica, but with more options for input.

Love the little bone crunch in the music!

Great music! Fun vibes.

We scoped a little too big, but our composer was amazing! I wish more of his tracks made it into the final version.

Very interesting game! I'm sad it's not getting more attention. I love all the little details, like the shadows the gates cast and the creepy musical cue for the deer targeting you. Plus, their health being displayed by the color of their lights, which is very noticeable. You could tell me Horizon does the same thing, and I'd say you're bluffing. Also, we love a "throw and recall your weapon" mechanic. I think that's gonna be up there with grappling hooks as a "This is always fun; you're not a game dev until you've put one in a game" type deal.

Thank you, Linden! That means a lot coming from you. I'm looking forward to doing so following our completion of its polish this quarter, as well as having you take a look at my portfolio.

Thanks so much for playing! Commentary helps, especially. This was a student project with lots of time limitations, so not everything's made it in yet, but we plan to focus on polishing next!

It is an SCP-inspired OC, the shield bug is known, and you should've gotten an alternate ending for trapping Splitjaw in its enclosure.

Thank you again, and well done!

It looks like you found a bugged version of the alternate ending. Thanks for bringing that to our attention!
