Crunch is tough, but I applaud your good working taking the time to finalize the last chunk of work. You and your team managed to make it work, and you stuck through it to the end.

The animation looks really cute! It's good to hear that the game is on its way to being in its ideal working state, as it would be great to see how much time you can put into mostly focusing on the art itself. looking forward to the final product!

Even with the remaining workload, congrats for managing to get the bulk of your biggest concern developed! To focus on these kinds of bug fixes and polish for these last few weeks sounds challenging, but it also sounds like a very useful way to spend it. This project has seemed really big from the start, and the amount of progress you've made should absolutely be commended. I wish your team the best in your final stretch!

Even though you've decided to go with a different concept, I think this premise could do really well! Maybe as a different project? I almost forgot about the medieval setting while imagining your description, but I agree that adding the extra layer to seperate it from realism could probably make for a more enjoyable experience while still drawing obvious parallels to real world hiring procedures.

Satire feels like the right direction to go. As much as I will likely agree with the stance of the project, the overall fun and appeal of the game will definitely help it stay fresh in my mind, and to have a premise that doesn't point the blame at capitalism directly sounds like something that will catch the attention of others as well.

I think it's interesting to mention how social media can actually be beneficial to a person's mental well-being. Including that would probably help highlight the importance of the negatives in comparison, as the project itself would come across as less preachy and more unbiased to players. The choice between being honest or keeping your job also seems very compelling!

It can be both amazing and overwhelming when a topic has so much to focus on, but even the few you've listed as examples are pretty foreign to me. I would be the most interested in learning about situations I didn't even know existed, and having fewer things to learn from would probably help me retain that information. Either way, it sounds like a really exciting premise!

I totally missed it during my first playthrough D:
