The greatest strength of this update is by far the phone texts, lots of added character touches there. Lil' Smiles story was my favorite out of the three sidequests. Fantastic job, devs.

Another error in skipping directly to chapter 5 - I picked the option to set romantic interest to Fiore and no one else, but the stats screen shows my character is interested in Denario with no such comment on Fiore's.  (also feels like that part of the skip section should have picking the same choice be disabled. I don't know what continuously picking the same character does since it doesn't give a plus to their relationship bars, just sets "player feels attraction to so-and-so" flags to True, unless it's a hidden thing I can't see).

Bug about town opinion when skipping directly to chapter 5 (and either grammar error or someone is not being included in the string containing "by necessity includes you. , ")

Style inconsistency with stat toggle on, 3rd option doesn't have the brackets.

Enjoyable chapter with the students, Korzha, Savarel, Raffi and dealing with the town about the bandit group.

Bug right on startup. This does not happen in the dashingdon version.

Honestly, I agree with you that adding in a mandatory time requirement would just be more frustrating.

re:Alignment, yeah that makes sense, though the change I was thinking of was making it a sliding scale. However I would definitely prefer seeing work on the overall plot, character routes, and variety of character-defining choices rather than changing alignment. Excited for what's on the horizon!

A good slice of what's on offer. It already looks better than the first game in terms of QoL (no more sluggish recognition of what my cursor is on during the point and click parts!) and the story already has a grander scope from the get go.

Route development does seem a bit too quick, but I'm assuming in the later updates when more routes are released it's not gonna be an issue because you'll probably be encouraged to jump around to different people. (Doesn't seem like there's anything discouraging maxing everyone's bonds first before doing Big Plot Advancement Things)

Will our alignment selection be a one-and-done thing, or will there be opportunities to change it later?

For the tiers where we get games, will they be Steam or itch.io keys? Good luck with the Kickstarter!

That's alright, just asking!

The concept really appealed to me. Playing the demo confirmed it. Have to echo another comment that said the way you write children is very realistic - they're not acting like literal toddlers, but they're not mini-preteens or mini-adults, either.

I also have to say that I very much appreciate the option to change pronouns at every step of the game. In fact, the roleplaying that's already in the demo is a fair step better than some other games I've played.

I have to ask out of curiosity, is facial hair a possible customization option for adult Cove (or adult MC)?

Hi!

When I saw the page for Thorns of War, I was ecstatic because I enjoyed TRoS a lot due to the variety of love interests and the fact you could customize the protagonist's personality.

But when I played the demo for BFF. The concept was intriguing because there are very few VNs where you can have a major influence on another character's development and love life (and the protagonist's a ghost, that's rad). I'd be happy with supporting both games, although I must confess that I'm not a big fan of Kickstarter and crowdfunding in general, but I would put money down on Thorns of War.

For marketing, have you tried posting onto Reddit's r/otomegames community? They are a very welcoming community and I believe TRoS and Heaven's Grave have been well-received by the users there.

(Heck, someone linked to your survey in that subreddit a day ago)

You could also try posting on r/visualnovels as well but they aren't as friendly to OELVNs compared to r/otomegames, unfortunately. (Well, it depends on how you advertise it. From my observations, general quality, genre, artstyle, whether it's an eroge or not, and whether it's bishoujo or otome,  yuri or BL, or features no romance at all are big influences in how many upvotes it gets.) Up to you whether you want to post there or not.

I'll be eager to see which game comes out on top in the survey, and good luck with the Kickstarter!

Hello! I played the demo and WOW, I really liked the options for developing the MC's personality! I'll definitely buy the game and take my time with going on different routes with different MC personalities.

I noted that in the "more information" part on the itchio page, the game is listed as "in development" Considering that there's a "game released" dev post on the page is this intentional?
