An interesting read! The idea of soulmates is well explored, with the pros and the cons. The writing is engaging and the characters are realistic. The visual presentation works really well, and the music fits nicely too. Overall, one of my favorites in the jam.

That was quite a nice read. There’s quite a few grammar mistakes and weird expressions, but as a french guy, I got where they come from. They don’t impact the reading experience much anyway. The sprites are really cute.^^ The second ending kind of feels tacked on, and the music accompanying the last sequence makes it sound so sad.
Thanks for reading! The dad’s mission is a bit of a backdrop here, but the bigger VN I’ve been working on for a few months takes place in the same universe and focuses on that point (with different characters, to be clear). Here’s a list of endings for curious people.
All endings>
1, 2, 3, 4a, 4b, 5, hidden As you can see, only ending 4 really has alternatives. (depending on whether you twinkified Callum or not) Other endings have variance in some text, but the ending itself is the same so I didn't consider them different. The hidden ending didn't work on version 1.0 but does in 1.1. Here's a hint if you want it.
Spoiler on how to get hidden ending
You just need to finish ending 2 and one of 3, 4 or 5, then go the route that leads to ending 2 to see a new choice. If you have played version 1.0, finish ending 2 again to trigger it. (and then go back at the beginning of the last loop of ending 2)The transformation stuff seems a bit tacked on since it's not really resolved. The rest of the story is fun to read through. I liked the way Wes rambled to himself.^^
There's that turn of phrase where you tack on the double negatives formally incorrectly.
How could I not tell him no?
How could I not turn down an offer like this?
How could I seriously NOT pass this up?
