Very good game! Excellent presentation. I love that it starts with a comic it is really cool. Combining 2D and 3D elements was very stylish. The jumping works well, but in my opinion, the game could have more options for where to jump, maybe even platforms that fall once the player lands on them. Overall, I really like it!
Thank you for the kind words! I’m glad you enjoyed the little details in the game. Regarding the flower mutations, I added text with the recipes on the game page for reference. I agree that having an in-game book would be a great way to present that information in a more interactive way. Thanks for the suggestion!
In Bloom & Defend, you play as a wizard skilled in flower-based magic, defending against waves of monsters emerging from a mysterious fog. The goal is to survive as long as possible by using your unique spells to plant enchanted flowers, each with its own defensive abilities. These flowers can attack, slow down, or weaken enemies, helping you hold off the monsters that become stronger and more numerous with each wave.
The idea behind this game is to create tiny creatures with small numbers. However, just having small numbers can be quite boring, so the goal is to make those tiny creatures grow into giants. As a player, you have blocks that let you add value to the creatures. By combining these tools, you can generate millions with just a few operations.
It takes about 10 minutes to explore all the content and ideas.
If you find the game difficult, there’s also an ‘add upgrade’ button — just press ‘0’ to use it.

Hi! Thanks! Yes i used shader from this https://github.com/MenacingMecha/godot-psx-style-demo. Will add more info in game page soon.
Very deep game! Firstly, it shows little, and it's kind of simple to understand what happens. Then, when everything starts getting stable, I find stats for each tower. That's the part when the game starts to feel really deep.
Overall, the feel of the game is good. Of course, there's a lot of work needed on art direction, fonts, and UI. The UX still requires more work to be informative.
But the idea of the game is here, and not every game has it. And another very meaningful part is the music. When you see the game with it, everything combines into one piece. It feels like building connections between each other — the background, music, and art are really one part of the same idea. It's not just a mix of stuff.
There's a really solid base to the game, and it only needs more work to be done in the same direction.
That is a huge game! Art 10/10, sound 10/10, units have real voiceovers (0 _ 0). I really like the idea, and it's well-executed. Making new units without any resources fits this type of gameplay perfectly. Simple signs are an effective way to show some hints, however, it has animated text, and no background, so sometimes it's hard to read.
I find control not very responsive, units stack often. But that's all covered by the ability of having a really huge army. For my taste, I would also like to spawn minions more easily and faster. Maybe even allow spawning by clicking on houses?
Also, huge mega cool stuff is the console. Now it will be in all my future game.
(by cheat add 10000 units and game is not dead, wow)
For me, the coolest part of this game is its ability to capture the feeling of being an industrial climber perfectly. The atmosphere has a melancholic tone that really speaks to me. I also love how each building feels like it has its own story, making the city feel alive.
My only minor complaint is that I got sometimes lost when asked to backtrack. However, I was able to find all the AC units and didn't need to backtrack to find any remaining ones.
Nice game! Great job!
Firstly, I really like the idea and mechanics. All the mechanics fit together seamlessly, combining to create a cohesive experience. The art is wonderful, making it easy to understand each part's function. Overall, it's a great game.
One area for improvement is the predictability of the gameplay. At times, it can be unpredictable where blocks will spawn, which makes it difficult to anticipate the force of collision.
