Great work!  You do an excellent job pacing the emotional tension and release.  I also really appreciate the back and forth between a lot of your melodies/counter melodies and just how all of the different voice parts fit together.

I have a plugin for creating textures! I I think it’s called mysteria by native instruments. You layer together sounds and control a bunch of other parameters. 

I also used a couple ambient recordings of rain/wind that I have. 

Thanks for the feedback! My original plan was for the piece to be two mini-movements (Approach and Ascent, thus the title. Very concert band lol)

 The ending is the way it is because I joined the jam halfway through and just ran out of time to really flesh out the transition and second half of the piece. It’s underdeveloped vs. what I wanted it to be.  I only did a rough mix, too. It’s a great foundation to finish up for my portfolio, though!
